What is the last gun that you bought?

Nothing wrong with going with a .22 for the backyard. All the skills of proper marksmanship apply with a .22 as with any other caliber. Besides you can shoot all day for the price of one box of .45 ACP or 9mm

Just bought a Ruger SR40c for my EDC, relegating ElsiePea(LCP), to her more natural position as BUG. Bought ElsiePea a year ago because my previous EDC, a CZ40B was just too heavy and hard to conceal.

The .22TCM pistol is outstanding for the money as you get the quality of ARMSCOR manufacturing and a spare 9MM Luger barrel.
The cartridge is a shortened 5.56(.223) cartridge and not a necked down 9mm as stated.
The pistol is very accurate and the muzzle blast is impressive. Recoil is very light, as in .32 ACP. The pistols magazine feeds with no problem what so ever. If I had any complaint, it would be you need a magazine loader and the pistols grips are cheeze-ball. The USA factory knows that they suck and will replace them at no cost to a better quality grip set. The fire ball is very bright, it would blind you at night.
As for stopping power, the little 50 grain bullet is really zipping along. The loaded factory ammo is impressive on paper and on steel.
The pistol would be a very good CCW pistol due to its accuracy, light recoil and high capacity.
I set up a 1/4" steel plate at 50 yards and the bullets just blew holes through it as if it was not there.

Rapidrob, thanks, that looks pretty spiffy!

I'll have to try out a doublestack 9x19 1911 to see if the grip works for me, and then order one of those when the budget allows.

Both rounds feed from the same magazine, right? Is it a proprietary RIA mag or is it something common I can buy a couple from Midway or wherever? I'm mostly a .45 compact 1911 shooter, so a non-.45 double-stack full-size is pretty far from what I know anything about

Just got a Sig .40cal subcompact. my first composit firearm. seems to do well for what it was designed for. killed a bowling ball out at the range with it yesterday. It does shoot hard.

NIB 1911 arrived for me today at the FFL. Won't get to pick it up until probably Wed next.
Did get to hold it and smell that new gun oil though!!! ;-)
