What is the last gun that you bought?

An old 10-22 to replace the one I made into a target rifle. Then I immediately pulled the birch stock and put an old original walnut one on, added a fiber bolt buffer, the modded trigger from the match one which now has a Kidd and a 2-7 illuminated scope. Might put an unfired stainless barrel on also. I seem to have a lot of parts left over from projects (one blue, one stainless barrel, two birch stocks, couple trigger groups, jar of steel buffers, etc.)

Those are some interesting grips! The medallion came from one of the 1967-68 Colt WW1 Commemorative 1911s, but appears to have been inlaid in micarta or some similar material.

Interesting info, thanks. I bought them some time ago, listed for sale on Texas Gun Trader.

Glock G19 Gen 5 MOS frame with an Advantage Arms upper. Came with Ameriglo sights. Not that the Gen 5 cutout bothers me, but not having it is soooooo much better feeling.

So far so good. CCI Mini-Mags are the recommended ammo, which I don't have, so I shot some CCI Blazer (decent function, 9/10 reliable for a few mags), CCI Standard, which is not recommended as under-powered, (8/10 over two mags), and Federal Automatch (2/10 reliable for one mag).

Accuracy is, I have not a clue! I shoot pistols off hand 99% of the time and this is as accurate as any Glock I own and the groups are the same size as my MKII groups.

For a training tool, this is an excellent dedicated 22 pistol.

Bought a new G17L at a local store that was going out of business. You don't see them very often and the price was just way too good to pass up.

I'm not a wheelgunner very often, but when I am, I prefer 2.5, 3, or 3.5 inch Smiths. That's a nice blaster.
Thanks , shot it last Thursday .158 grain magnums smacked palm of the hand but handled a lot better than numbing K frame. I may install a HIViz front sight sometime

Refinish and add the GM 20" sporter barrel. As noted, that's a rarer configuration of the 10/22.

Not as rare as the factory checkered one I had ;)
Think only 540 of those made.

Mine was used (think 2nd owner) and it wasn't mint, but still too nice for me to hunt with. So I sold it.
Eh, my dad's minty '66 sporter .44 mag isn't checkered.
LOL

Now I have a beater one that if restored, might be a better match.

It's here..... The Henry single shot in .308 that I've wanted ever since they came out. Nobody around here could get one and places like Cabela's were always showing them as backordered. Was in the local Runnings home, farm, and outdoor center on Dec. 24th talking to the head guy in Sporting Goods. He checked their computer system and said he could have one here in 2 or 3 weeks. I put a down payment on it right then. They called me Jan. 7th and said it's here; I picked it up Jan. 8th.. Haven't even fired it yet but it's a nice, light, easy handling piece. Only complaint is the seven plus pound trigger but I already knew about those triggers from internet comments that I've seen on forums. IMG_3556.JPG The game plan is to load some 150 gr. bullets to a mild 25 or 2600 hundred something velocity over the chrono ( no hot rodding ) and enjoy the single shot experience. They come drilled & tapped so now a scope has to be selected and I hope someone will soon introduce a synthetic or laminated stock for these. The wood that it comes with is so nice that I don't want to see the scratches & dents that always show up on hunting rifles. This one's gonna go hunting ! IMG_3547.JPG IMG_3557.JPG

Me and a buddy went to the local gun pusher today and picked up a Ruger Charger a piece. We’re going to put pistol braces on them and see who can bling theirs out the best while still being tasteful and practical! Ya gotta love having a friend with money to play dress up with. And yes we’re still talking about guns!

Thanks to members here, including GunnyUSMC, and discussions on the new Ruger PC Carbine, I've been on the lookout for one. I have an SR9c, so it is something of a natural fit. These have been including both the Glock and Ruger SR magwells, and one version adds Ruger mags, the other features Glock mags in the package. Found someone local to me selling one with both magwells, but having the Glock Mag package, but never shot, $400 cash money, 2 15 rounders and a 33 rounder, fugured I could sell the Glock mags and buy Ruger mags and still do just fine...

I found one of the Henry Single Shots in .223 right before the weather went to crap around here. I found a nice 2-7x Burris compact scope for it and it is really a nice neat little package. Now I hear they have them in 357 and 30-30. There goes more of my money!
