Also have a complete ar10 lower incoming that will become a 260 Rem
Forgot to contribute. Was at the gun store transferring a gun I sold via GB and they had a Galil on the shelf. Sure, on closer inspection a Century, but in really nice condition, half converted (just missing the bipod) to an ARM, etc. "Used," so pretty cheap as they go these days, but maybe never fired. Turns out it was practically zeroed, has working tritium sights (!) and so on. Runs like a top so far, working on some other improvements like replacing mag innards with AR bits.
It was bone dry, looks even better now, and I did some white highlighting of fire selectors, serial, so it looks more authentic.
And, bought... but not in my hands yet, a SIG556 with Swiss 551 (semi) lower, spare mags etc. Not cheap, but a good deal again /for these days/ since SIG stopped US production, imports are rare (even new ones) so prices are climbing even on modern era guns and you simply never see them just laying around actually for sale. So, had the money and I may never see it that "cheap" again, so snagged it up.
I got my psa upper on Friday with complete lower parts kit in 5.56 1:7 twist and a d+h mag today.
Sako 85 Bavarian Carbine in 6.5 X 55 Swede
Picked them up the same day. The STI was a couple hours after the Sig, so I guess it's the last gun I bought.
Was searching for a Browning Hi Power or clone. I ended up buying a CZ 75 Compact and 4 magazines used at a local Pawn Shop for $420.
Just got this yesterday. Been thinking about a pistol for steel challenges. My JBM Bullpup works great for that as a long gun, but I've been yearning for pistol use, also. Putting a red dot on this and trying it out. Sure comes apart easier than my other Rugers.
I picked up two last week.
A Yugo 24/47 and a 91/30
I've re-configured my favorite SiG-P556 SBR yet again, MPX retractable stock and SWAT handguard
It's not much, but I found a proper scope for my Swiss SiG-550, an 8x56 steel tube Kahles Wien Helia-Super
Tomorrow, the weather is supposed to be nice & dry, for the first day in a row (trying to think positive) ... Hoping to take them both out; verify the 556 then zero the 550 and if there's time break out the 551 and 226 ... Just spend a couple hours relishing in the acrid perfume of burnt powder, followed by Hoppes #9!
I already posted about this in the rifle forum, but why not here also:
It's an original model 1873 Springfield trapdoor made in 1879 based both on the inspector's cartouche and serial number--in .45-70 of course. The bore is in close to mint condition, so I do intend to shoot it. I also got a very nice condition original bayonet and scabbard from the seller.
Picture with some props--both original and reproduction
Close up with breech open
An LCP. Used, but the slide and frame rails don't even have wear marks on them.
1975 Remington Ranson Italian 58cal Zouave musket rifle unfired.
Picked up a H&R model 704 ( i think) in 32 mag., from Cabelas of all places, for a really good price.
Also picked up most of an 1882 Remington shotgun.
The 32 is for play, the remington is a flip
I was too lazy to go get my Iver Johnson 1911 Carbine out of the safe un-box and put it together ... I stole this picture off GunBroker, don't hate me.
Now that that's out of the way ...
I really don't know what got into me the day I saw this walking around at the Gunshow, but it was calling to me and he was needing to sell it; maybe he was wondering what he was thinking when he bought it ... ???
I don't know, but its the ugliest gun I own ... the buddy I was with tried to talk me out of it, so I can't blame him
If I was younger maybe I'd SBR it, on a positive note, it may be ugly, but it is comfortable ... I've had it about a year and haven't shot it ... I may be afraid someone would see me with it
I picked up the Marlin Stainless XT 22 Magnum heavy barrel rifle today at Uncle Lee’s in Greenville Ky. I’m hoping to get it sighted tomorrow. I had a spare Sightron AO scope that will work nicely on it.
Last week, new to me HK USP Compact in 9mm.
Just bought a S&W .22 AirLite last night. I LOVE the little gun. Boss made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
Last gun was a Sig P365.
Just bought this at Bass Pro Shops/Cabella's and I'm very excited, been wanting this gun for a while now and got a great deal on it:
Sig P320 X5
Full size S&W M&P 2.0 9mm in FDE.
From a friend, Remington 597 22 magnum, black synthetic stock and a 3-9x40 Bushnell Bone collector scope and 2 boxes of Remington 22wrm ammo.
Haven't shot it yet but it doesn't have a very nice trigger, there isn't any aftermarket support; the 22LR model has a little but from what I can tell, other than optic's, the 22mag has about ZERO ... No extended mags, no pistol grip / folding stocks and even the front sight has to be removed & moved back if you want to thread the barrel.
Nothing special, just a PSA kit on an Anderson lower. Now to get it to the range.......
Yesterday I ordered a Henry Single Shot .44 magnum Steel blued version. Should be here Thursday or Friday. I'll post pics when I pick it up.
Last gun was a P320 .45. Not in my possession at the moment, since I just shipped it to SIG to have the voluntary upgrade. Probably my most accurate pistol after my 1911.
A rifle in 6MM Dasher.
