Short version, a Savage 64f semi-auto .22LR with a few extra mags -

Long Version -
I probably made a mistake several years ago, had a Ruger 10/22 Target, stainless bull barrel, archangel stock, 4-16 x 50 scope, basically tricked out and fun to shoot for a .22 I had become interested in a HOWA 223 Varmint bolt action, heavy fluted barrel, etc. I tend to prefer bolt actions to SAs. In any case I had bought the Howa, and a friend commented on wanting the 10/22, and we came to a deal on price. I sold it to him.

Here I am many years later saying how come I don't I have an SA .22 rifle. I have bolt action .22s and 22 Mags, as well as rimfire pistols and revolvers, but no SA rifle.

Logic: I am not a mag dump fan, but, a semi-auto is a great tool for suppressing fire, to ensure the "killer rabbits" think twice about attacking our "castle". A full mag (or 4) of .22 from the wife, along with some 223/5.56 from the boy and some precision longer range action from Dad, should keep them at bay long enough for us to retrieve and prepare the "Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch" and count to three.

And, I wanted one for just plinking duty :)

Again, not a gun, but my Manners PRS1 stock was finished today, ordered it last October, should ship tomorrow.

A very clean MAS36/51 accepted on September 5 1958. Every serial number I've found matches, the finish on the bolt looks like its never been used, and the wood is amazing except for some small marks.

This goes nicely with my post war MAS 36. Now I just need a MAS 49 and a pre-surrender 36 model

Great !!

You have to try to find a FR F1

Is the Governor's frame stainless or aluminum? I like it! Moon clips for .45 acp?

Aluminum frame, very lightweight and not 'jumpy' at all. Yes, it came with 2 (6 round) and 3 (2round) moon clips and it handled both the .410 and .45ACP loaded together quite well. I was impressed.

I bought a Henry in 22 mag from a buddy on Monday, he’s had it over a year and still had never shot it, so when something else came along I helped him make room in his safe!
Beautiful wood, smooth lever action and great overall feel. I haven’t shot it yet either but plan to this weekend; because of the craftsmanship & others I own, I have high expectations!
The 3x9-40 Cabalas brand scope came with it and probably won’t stay but I’ll make that decision after getting it zero’d.

Probably not “my last” but currently it is!

I just recently purchased a Henry Frontier in .22 caliber. It is my first lever action and has quickly earned its place as my favorite gun to should.
