What is the last gun that you bought?

I bought two that I had to wait on and just picked both up in the past few days;

A CZ 75D Compact in 9mm. It came with the “California Compliant” 10-round magazines but I have some standard capacity MecGar mags enroute for it. I did the Cajun Gun Works spring/extended firing pin treatment and dropped the DA and SA pulls a bit.

I also picked up a 5-shot S&W Model 69 “Combat Magnum” in .44 Mag. I plan on mainly shooting 44 Spl in it, but the option to shoot powerful loads is still there.

Back around 2005 or so I passed on a new smith 69. Always wished I'd bought it.

My last purchase is this.

Another smith 422. Quite possibly the worst smith handgun made. And I now have 2. Lol. Was cheap though.

Wow. Says a lot about the rest of their lineup. I have one and it shoots quite well. The only negative I can come up with is that disassembly is really quirky.

The mag release is in a terrible spot. The finish is worse than krylon and the lettering looks to have been engraved by a child stamped one letter at a time by bending a hot paperclip into the letters.

I'll likely never part with either of mine. But it's the worst smiths I own... and I have a smith pump shotgun. Lol

You must have an outlier. I can't say the same about mine. As far as mag release, it's, well, "unique". It is what it is, and the shooter adapts or gets a different gun.

I have two though. Lol. The last one I didn't bother to shoot. The first one shot ok. But I just fed it whatever junk I had open. I have other 22 handguns I hunt with. K22. 610, MK RUGERS, Trailside, Beretta 87. woodsman..... I just bought the first 422 to help a buddy out and id never had one. It's a far cry from any of those. Its light though. And didn't jam in the few rounds I put through it. Both came with 1 mag. Then the second wandered into my lap cheap (along with a cheap old Husqy saw). My kids will probably be the next to shoot either. After I'm gone.

Yeah the mag release was my biggest gripe. Uncomfortable really. Id prefer a heel release over that one. At least they aren't intrusive. The lettering surprised me. Just sloppy. Even compared to my cheaper smiths like the victory or M&P. Not dremeled on like a WASR or anything but not smooth.

It is neat though. Barrel on the bottom, action on top.

I actually bought two guns last week - picked one up last Friday and the other today.

First bought (and last picked up) is a Springfield Range Officer Elite Operator.

Then as I was leaving the range after sighting in my Sig 516 G2 Patrol SBR, I spotted a Sig P224 9mm DA/SA in the consignment case. I went back the next morning and bought it!

Just picked up a 6" S&W pre-Model 17 on a good deal.
My first K-frame .22 revolver.
Vendor says it dates to 1949.

Not outstanding shape, but pretty good for a 73 year old gun.
Ran a cylinder of CB Longs just now; so far so good.
I think it was a solid purchase...

Sorry for your friends passing.what a great gift ,to remember him by.this was my 1st big bore (1983) .Dont remember cost ,I’m thinking $383.00 it has increased 3 times , this would be-the last one to sell If had to!!
I have mostly fired cast bullets through it.proud of a target of 2inches@ 200yards with 500 jsps’

Yours looks like it's in really nice shape. Must not be an "Ethiopian" Royal Tiger find. ;)
NOt a Tiger or Ethiopian rifle. Bore is in excellent condition. I have not fired it yet. Soon I hope. Funny how clip drops out bottom when chambering last round. Wish I could find a scope and mount like used by Oswald. Or even a copy of one. Maybe in a later life.

I've already posted about buying this Marsala colored Ruger EC9S ,,,
But I finally got around to taking a picture of it,,,
In a case with it's kid sister Ruger SR-22.

I haven't given names to this pair as yet,,,
I'm considering Lucy and Ethel.

I do like owning sets of guns that match or compliment in some way,,,
I own several matching rimfire/centerfire sets of handguns.

These two pistols don't match in their model numbers,,,
But they are both Rugers and they sport the same color frame.

I purchased the SR-22 3-4 years ago,,,
It was on a whim because of the frame color.

It just caught my eyes,,,
I purchased it on the spot.

Over a year ago I saw the Marsala colored EC9S at Buds,,,
But I waffled a bit and when I looked again,,,
They were sold out .

Last Sunday I hit Buds website and lo and behold they had some in stock,,,
This time I didn't hesitate and made the order right then and there.

I owned a Ruger LC9 in their Lilac color,,,
Instead of a similar .22 pistol to go with it,,,
I had a Twisted Industries .22 adaptor kit for it.

When I decided to eventually buy a Marsala colored EC9s for myself,,,
I gifted the LC9 to the daughter of a dear old friend.

I even bought her Lilac colored ear muffs and shooting glasses,,,
Best thing is she has a grandfather to teach her to shoot

Anyways, even though they aren't an exact match in model,,,
I think my "Red Rugers" make for a nice set of pistols.

I had one of those, also without scope. It wouldn't group at 50 yards with PPU ammo (.264 bullets). But once I was able to find and load some .267 bullets, it would easily shoot 3" groups at 100 yards.

Ooohhhh boy.
Last gun,I promise.....NOT! (well, hopefully)

Had some time while the Mrs. was at an appointment in the town of my nearest gun store about an hours drive from home.
I needed a new refrigerator for the garage and found one about three blocks from a "store".
Well, I'm here, might as well stop in, right?

The counter was too crowded for me too see all the handguns for sale so I stepped outside to wait for less people in the shop.

Went back in and OH NO! there is one of my grail guns for sale!
The salesman behind the counter IS a salesman!

I had to go back outdoors to think this deal over....
Came back in and asked the owner what the best price he could do.
He said tag price out the door.
"Saved" sales tax and I now own this.

A 1991 production Colt Anaconda, with original box and all pristine papers and manual.

Happy, happy, Joy, joy!

Hey,
Use care out there!
