Like @Walkalong, I'd love to see a range report. I've been curious about these, mainly because I can't recall Mossberg making another pistol in my lifetime. (I freely admit that may be a recollection problem more than anything.) We also had a guy that hung out at TFL who picked one up a few years back. Last I heard, he had about a half dozen of their various models.

Thanks for the advice Spats! The Shield Plus I bought already has night sights on it so that's at least one less thing to swap out for awhile.

I got an IWB kydex holster for it already (thank you Amazon), and found that my shirt was getting snagged on those
rough spots on the frame. So some nice and light sandpaper work on them should solve that issue.

The most recent and probably the last gun I'll buy is the GM6 Lynx. I hope to sight it in today or tomorrow as the local forecast is perfect.

1951 K22 Masterpiece. Only about 80% but tight and I wanted a replacement for the one I bought around1960 that my dumbazz self sold for tuition money.
Actually traded a bubbaed up M1 Carbine for it.

Wife and I went out to dinner this evening, then stopped by Scheels.

    Bought a new Ruger MAX-9.

I really gotta stop going there so much .

My first AR showed up today, a day early from PSA. It's a PA10 .308. 18" barrel with A2 flash hider. 20rd P-mag.

Took all of 20 minutes from the time I walked into the FFL and do the e4473 and paying the FFL transfer fee to walking out the door.

Glock 20 Gen 5 MOS. I seem to have a problem with 10mm pistols because I can't have too many.

I've always found the Standard to be a fine looking pistol. Looking for some ivory-esque grips and a nice leather flap holster 1.jpg

I paid for, or I should say I wrote out a check and mailed it to my son in Wasilla, Alaska on May 23rd of last year.
I received my new 5" S & W 460 51 weeks later, on the 16th of this month. (A special production run for that revolver)

Sorry, no picture as I and my computer are not getting along lately.

I have only run 15 home rolled rounds through it.
That will change when I have more free daylight time.

Being retired is a busy life!

    Hey!
    Use care out there!

    WOW!

I tried something different and it worked!

Obviously, the new one is under my 8 3/8" model.

:( I am a bit ashamed to admit that it is a 6 1/2" barreled rough rider but it does have the adjustable day-glo sights. I got to shoot it Monday morning and found it decently accurate and the sights are a big help. I guess I am lucky but I didn't have to adjust them at all. G-kids should have fun helping granpa try to wear it out.

After having a little fun and a lot of frustration shooting my new CMMG Bravo 22lr conversion in my M&P I went to my favorite LGS and bought a savage 64 22lr with the 20 round mag. While waiting for the background check I spotted a G44 with my name on it. I've been wanting one since I read the excellent comparison Gunny did with the tx22. The G44 is a blast with just 1 stovepipe on the 3rd round and perfection for the next 100. The Savage is super fun too, but the spring in the mag is too stiff and will only run the last 10 without nosedives. I'll keep it full when I'm not shooting and just load 10 at a time for a while. I'm definitely in for a fun summer. 20230531_105423.jpg 20230531_123625.jpg

I found a Winchester 141 today. Pretty squeaky clean too. No Bugger'd screws. No prying marks that I could find. Mag tube follower in great shape. Factory sight still in place; in good shape. Crown was nice. So I popped it into layaway before anyone raised a hand. So it's in jail for two weeks. Then early parole for good behavior. See you guys in two weeks for a review.

I've always wanted a Luger, called up Simpson Arms and ordered one up today. Figured they're not going to get any cheaper if I wait. Most I've ever spent on one gun, but you can't take it with you.

Dang, the only SIG P-series I don't have. This must be a cult pistol now, because I never see one in decent condition for sale anymore.

    Nice score!
