What is the last gun that you bought?

Epic local gun show and trade !!!

Many of you that build or have built AR's know that if you go to either sell or trade you take a beating. Most won't buy or trade for a "Joe Nobody" AR build. At least around my area. (Worries that it's a turd or improperly assembled). I had to thin stuff out to make life more manageable. Threw the build AR's into the car and head to the show. lucked out dropping the AR's in 5.56 and pocketed the cash. Was about to leave when a vender asked about the Grendel. Gave him the info and wiggle range money wise. He asked if I might be interested in trading. (The hairs on the neck stood tall, seriously) I said, um sure what you offering. This is what my head did when he pulled this out from under the table. ( DEADMAU5,... DRAMAFREE, the intro DROP!! ) .... IYKYK !!! I see this Dan Wesson model 22H come into full view. "CHill Baby, it's gonna be dyno-mite!" Stoically I thought to myself. Giving the customary hem's and haw's. I asked to Test and look it over. End shake, check. Lock-up, check. DA/SA function, check. Re-bluing / buffing check. Noticed that the cylinder release was very tight fitted. (BINGO, why it's barely been shot and sold second hand probably all its life) people are funny this works it's way free with time and shooting. You know I said yes. Wanted a good shooter Dan 22 for a very long time. Anyway it has a new home for eternity. PICS! (serial date late 1979 prod. (golden age for Dan 22's and Silhouettes.

I have more or less been on the lookout for a small concealed 380 over the last 15 years. I sold my Baretta 84f in 2009 and my 380 components have sat idle since then on my reloading bench. I still have a bunch of brass, bullets and of course a full die set for 380, but I didn't want to pay much at all for a 380 handgun.

I stumbled on this Smith and Wesson M&P Bodyguard on Saturday. The gun store had it MISMARKED on price. Retail average $400. Let's just say I paid FAR LESS than that. They said it was a mistake in pricing, but honored the mistaken sticker price anyway. This handgun has a really small, thin profile for concealed carry. Single stack mag, so only 6 shots plus 1, but that's enough for me. And now I can start reloading 380 again.

This isn't the last gun I bought since I just inherited it from a friend. It's a 1870 S&W Model 1 3rd variation. Factory engraved, nickel finish, factory engraved, with mother of pearl grips. It's a 7 shot .22 Short and condition is almost new, and appears to have been shot much. It belonged to my friend's great grandfather, but she had no heirs to pass it along to.
I'm going to build a fitted case for it so it's got a good case that befits a fine old pistol.

My Wife spotted it on sale at Bass Pro. Pretty funny. I was shopping for Winter shirts and hadn't even planned to look at the guns. She say's "One of those one's you like.." Of course that narrowed it down to a couple of thousand, and then she say's "seezee". CZ P10C. $379.00 with 5% discount foe Veteran's or LEO's. It went home with me.. IMG_1904.JPG IMG_1905.JPG
