What is the most recent knife you bought?

In one of the threads a couple of guys posted pictures of their Opinels. I have heard of them but never paid that much attention until now. I ordered a number 10 yesterday.

A bit of a backstory.
Maybe three years ago.... I bought a Jantz supply Green River blank, bone scales, and upgraded pins. I have yet to start the project.
Yesterday I visited Jantz's website and ordered their basic short butcher knife kit. I thought it might be a practice knife for me before I assemble the nicer kit for myself.
If nothing else, it will become a blanket prize for a BP club shoot.

Regardless, it is my most recent knife.

Just opened my first cold steel knife package! Wifey got me a personalized recon tanto coming but I lost my CRKT flipper so I need something NOW right?? 😀 enter the kyoto1! Man is this thing cool. Disappears in the front pocket. Sharp as a laser beam too. Best part? 25.00 edc fixed blade that will be reliable. A cheap folder edc worries me

I showed the Kyoto to all the fellas at work and several said they’re going to place an order for one. It was a big hit with the blade carrying gentlemen

Vosteed advertises their S35VN Ti Parallel as the thinnest folder available. It really is little more than 4 quarters thick.
It feels surprisingly comfortable in the hand and feels like nothing in your pocket. I'm not going to abuse it like I might a Sebenza, but as a barely there folder I'm impressed.

My Opinel #10 showed up the other day and to be honest I'm not impressed. Basically I don't like the handle, doesn't fit my hand very well. Besides I have a whole set of Henckels that are probably 40 years old and still going strong.

I bought four used Swiss Army Spartain knives off eBay, added a short loop of red paracord, and distributed them in the vehicles and one in the toy hauler.

That last SA knife came in handy this weekend, it opened numerous bottles of Jalisco Estrella after our 60 mile Mojave Road run on Saturday.

Stay safe.

K-Bar Wrench Knife is my new EDC. Fits in the folding ruler sleeve inside the right front hip pocket of Duluth Trading firehouse work pants.
Does not dig into your hip when seated and belted in work truck. Sharpened pry bar for tradesmen. Butt does not look like a "weapon."
It's low profile gets into most NPEs when you are supposed to be working there and are expected to be wearing a tool belt.
