0F25690B-0ACE-451C-8E6B-1ADA8EC99625.png I was given one of these a while back and it has lived on my S&W model 10. I tried it on my AR and really like how it looks, feels, etc, but I know that a cheapo knockoff optic isn’t going to last on an AR, especially if I put it on the 6.8spc or a .450bm. What is this a knockoff of? If not a direct knockoff, what is it similar to?

I bought an E-OTEC for my Colt LE6920 and it's everything you could want, but the truth is you can get much cheaper red dot sights that will work fine for you. E-OTEC $400.00 plus, Tru Glo $49.95. Works fine on a Ruger PCC.

If my memory serves, EOTech was the first with that technology.

Knockoffs followed. I had a $49 Truglo that lasted about 15 minutes. They replaced it but I'm afraid to put it on anything else.

Yes, it has the same footprint as the Burris and Vortex along with some others..It’s from Ade Advanced Optics (Tony Ade). This is the first sight of this type I ever bought just to see if I liked that type. I put it on a Ruger MK IiI 22/45 llite, a fairly benign pistol since it doesn’t have a slide and little recoil. It’s a little over two years old and is still doing it’s job. I find it has some features I like better than the Burris Fastfire. It does not have click elevation and windage adjustments and that is it’s main drawback to me.I liked it well enough to put one on my Ruger MK IV Target. I wouldn’t take a chance on one for a center fire pistol.
