What is this? A Lee product

This is a powder through device made by Lee that I thought fit into the 9mm powder through expander, but just extends enough beyond the top lip of the powder through die to prevent attachment to the riser. Bottom line is that I can't get the auto disk powder dispenser to work since the short 9mm case doesn't make enough contact in the powder through device. Any suggestions on what the solution is ?

I think there's something stuck on top of the powder-through expander (Mine measures around 1.380" in length).

My set of Lee 9mm dies apparently did not come with that expander. The one I featured is too long, yours will clearly fit in the powder through die. Guess I'll check with the Lee site to see about getting a 9mm expander.

Your picture is fuzzy but it looks like something is stuck on top of the expander. If that's the case, can you see if you can wiggle it loose?

Well, shut my mouth, you are absolutely correct, put it in a vise and twisted and separated the previous powder through - thanx.

Glad you got it out.

Hope you didn't cinch down the vise too tight and made the expander tube out of round.

Make sure the expander moves freely inside the die body.

The top piece looks like a PTE for a larger, taller caliber like .44 mag or .45 Colt?
