Just checked the Bushmaster website and found that they updated it (so soon) after the great AWB sunset.:D I am looking at their new M4 type AR rifle, the link is here .

Very interesting rifle, however, the information is limited...

1. The barrel length is 16 inch, do this include the flash hidder or not?

2. Does it come with the flash hidder or still the flash hidder alike muzzle brake?

4. 3 or 6 position retractable stock?

and what is you guys' opinion compared it to a Colt M4 (mainly in M4 features)?

Thanks,

The suggested price is no where near what the actual street price paid will be----go and get what you want------it will be in the $850 to $900 range unless your dealer is really trying to hose you.

Based on the picture it is a 14.5" barrel. The "Izzy Flash Suppressor" extends the total length to 16"

Web site is calling it a flash suppressor.

Ignore the price on the website. Dealer price will be lower. you just need to shop around.

www.aimsurplus.com has them advertised for $750ish for the A2, little more for the detachable carry handle A3 version. Apparently a pre-order, not actually in stock though... They don't make it clear whether they are 14.5" barrels with permanently attached flashsuppressors, or if they're 16" threaded barrels with standard removable flashsuppressors...

That's a photoshopped picture!!
Who cares? I think the IZZY brake is a true brake, in BATF terms but does a fair job of flash suppression. Me, I want the Phantom on a gun like this. Actually, I could go for a longer birdcage to make it look stock. I don't do much midnight firing anyhow.

I have perm attached Izzy on a 14.5in M4 barrel that does a decent job of flash suppression-----my naked 16in heavy barrel was downright obnoxious(sp?)-- the flash in lower light was intense------------------it has been replaced on that upper with a no ban 20in gov't profile barrel now------ and the 16 incher will be turned down and threaded and assembled on a RRA flat top upper. I'm close to having all the parts for another complete AR.
