I'm asking for your favorite double action revolver, doesn't have to be expensive, ya just gotta like it. Pix welcome.:D

H&R, Taurus, what ever. Kit guns? Charter pathfinders?

Favorites, guess which 1 cost more. I have pulled the diamond grips to protect them.

My favorite is my most-used: A 4" S&W 10-shot 617. Still bone stock, though it now wears Uncle Mike's conversion grips.

Runner-up is my ca. 1951 6" K-22:

Yup and one day in a fit of brilliance you let it get away from you..

Yup, been there, done that!:(

Well I still got this pair. 17 and 14.

S&W M-18, i bought it new in 1975, and it's been a wonderful companion, putting a lot of meat on my table over the years i carried it out in the Alaskan bush.

I don't own one yet but have been shopping for a DA "4 .22LR too. If I have to buy new, I am leaning towards the 10 shot S&W 617. It was the only one of several that I palmed which did not feel like either the trigger or the timing was going a problem. Unfortunately it is also the most expensive I handled. Used, I would love to have an older Colt or S&W 17 if I could find one locally.

I have some .22 revolvers that I punch paper with, a few I carry on the trail, even have one for the tackle box, but my favorite for plinking might be my overall favorite (as I enjoy plinking the most).
It's a JC Higgins Model 90 (High Standard Longhorn):

See, I had a 6" Diamondback, used that I really liked but I couldn't shoot it. I was just a kid. That's the gun I learned about sprung cranes with. It would have been a good deal if the other guy hadn't dropped it. Or swung it shut or whatever.

Anybody have one of the Taurus kit guns? Are they any good?

I like the S&W Model 617. Before stainless, I had a model 17 for years. Here are the photos of my 4" & 6".
