No H&K's on there? I know the old expression about them, but they still make some great handguns. The P7M13 is my emotional favorite, but a regular USP9 full size is my shooter of choice.

My Browning Hi Powers are my favorite 9 mms
I shoot my Glock 17s or Glock 19s the most these days.
Have several Beretta 92s and a Smith & Wesson 5906.
Sig Sauers too.
Carry a Kahr PM9 in a pocket a lot these days.
Shoot and carry .40 & 45 the most but still spend plenty of time with all the nines that have accumulated in my safe over the years.

No real surprises or consensus here. The ubiquitous Glock (affordable and easily obtained) ...

SIGs ... softest shooters, most accurate 9mm production pistols out of the box.

Beretta 92/M9 platform, uniformly excellent, yet still bemoaned by those of us who cut our teeth on the 1911 ...

Taurus PT-92/99 ... loved by those who own 'em ... Put the safety/decocker where it belongs, Pietro ...

S&W M&P-9 ... possibly the most ergonomic service-sized pistol on the market ...

The legendary CZ-75 ... feels great in the hand, sexy looks, dead-nuts reliable ...

Browning Hi-Power ... choice of the snobs ...

3rd generation S&W ... served LE superbly for years until the Austrian invasion ...

H&K P7, USP, P30 ... if you drive a BMW, you probably own an H&K pistol ...

I love 'em all. It's good to have choices.

Here's one.

A CZ75 or Hi power Get my vote for the best shooting 9mm's out there.

I unfortunately don't own either .

My XD service with a trigger job shoots very nice compared to the other service pistols I have shot/owned.

Custom SIG P250 9mm hybrid (subcompact slide on a bobbed compact grip module). I have never in my life shot a pistol that feels so good in my hand or aims so naturally (look at target, close eyes, raise pistol, open eyes and front/rear sights are aligned on target). Just amazing!

It was a tie between SIG p229 and Walther p5, for a long time.

Then I fired a sure-nuff SIG-Sauer p210. Stick a fork in it, it's done. Finest handgun I ever held, fired, admired.

Glock 17. I would probably like 17L even more.

I also shot Berettas (92 and Storm), Xd, Ruger and Mackarov. I am still most consistent with my plastic brick.

Browning Hi-Power ... choice of the snobs ...

Hey, I resemble that remark!!

SIGs ... softest shooters, most accurate 9mm production pistols out of the box.

In all seriousness I got rid of all but one of my Sig 9mm's when I found the Ruger SR9c, no point in having another 9mm besides a Hi-Power, my opinion... I just kept the 9mm slide for my Sig P250.

Has anybody tied out the Bersa UC9? I've never owned a handgun (rifle guy), and only tried guys' various types on a very random, irregular basis.

I tried out the Bersa Thunder two weeks ago and it is much more pleasant than the Polish P-64 (in 9x18 Mak.).

Having only read about the UC9, compared with the slim Thunder and Sig 232 or Maks, would the UC9 be a bit more uncomfy as a CCW inside a waistband? We live in the warm Memphis climate.

My favorite handgun to shoot, is the P9 series HK, in 9mm. I shoot them better than my P210, or any other 9mm I've owned.[LOTS]

Sig 225

For me, it is the SIG 225. No other pistol fits my hand as well.

The combination of ergonomics, size, weight, sights, trigger make it my favorite 9.m.m.

The WALTHER P-99 would be my second.

Has anybody tied out the Bersa UC9?

I had one and I truly regret selling it. It was totally reliable with all ammo tried, and easy to shoot accurately for me and my wife. If I run across one for a good deal I wont be making that mistake again!

The best 9mm in my collection at this point is the Ruger SR9c, but I should mention that I also own a CZ 75BD Police that I haven't yet had an opportunity to shoot. Schedules and 9mm ammo shortages have contributed to the CZ's inactivity.

It's possible that the CZ will be a better gun than the Ruger, I guess, but I'd never get rid of the Ruger, as it's light years ahead in concealability. And it shoots so darn nice :).

9 mm's I'd like to own but probably won't:
- Browning Hi Power (too expensive...for me)
- Taurus PT-92 (too big and heavy for carry)
- CZ P 09 (big capacity, but only holds 2 more rounds than my SR9c)

The one I carry the most now days is a S&W, S.D.9 . It has had night sights put on it and the trigger has been ok. It is accurate & reliable. And if it is lost or damaged I am not out alot of money. These are fine pistols, and I feel they are a much better buy than some of the more expensive models! I would strongly suggest these guns to anyone looking for a great Self-defense pistol! JMO.
