Published in South Africa in English and Afrikaans. THere is no URL because they don't have a website. Anyone who has picked it up will agree that it is the best. =)

Wait a bit, found here a link for two of their articles.

I can't believe you didn't include American Handgunner.

Good writing (for a gun rag) ... great pictures ... not a lot of BS (for a gun rag).

It's a toss-up between GUNS, and Am. Handgunner....same publisher, shares some writers. I'd say John Connor's the best one coming of age these days.

they're really not dedicated gun magazines, but I prefer "Field & Stream" and "Outdoor Life" over anyone of the ones in the poll. Out of the ones in the poll I'd probably choose American Rifleman.

    Another vote for Guns Magazine.
Some very strong, credible writers like Mass Ayoob,Duke Venturino,John Taffin,John Connor, and Clint Smith.
An excellent Editor in Jeff John and great camera work from Ichiro Nagata.
Also they don't beat the political angles to death.
Roy Huntington ,the Editorial Director is no nonsense ,the best in the business.
Add them to the poll list and see where they finish.

None really. All they want to do is rub our face in the fact that they get to shoot $4000+ rifles sporting $2000+ Scopes. On $25,000 Exotic hunts. So what is the worth in reading articles like "Hunting with Tactical Scope" telling me I need to go out and buy a "Tactial Scope to make myself a better hunter. Why do I need a $2000 "Tactial Scope" on my $200 hunting rifle? The only reason I get any gun magazines is the fact that the NRA sends me American Rifleman with my membership.

You just do not see any articles on Savages new rifles or Remington or any other major rifles. All I see is custom rifles with high dollar scopes. It is nice to droll but I want to read more about everything. I stopped getting Shooting times when Rick stopped writing for them.

I get American Rifleman cuz I'm a member, but I buy Handloader & Rifle.
I like older odd ball stuff, and they're more likely have an article on the .40-82 WCF than the newest supershortwhizzbang magnum
And most, (if not quite all), of the writers seem pretty down to earth, and don't take themselves all that seriously.

Another for American Handgunner. Conner's stuff is awesome. I like his mixture of humor and serious thoughts.

Shotgun News is definatly my favorite, I love their historical firearm articles. Its also the only magazine I buy FOR the advertisements.

Another one I like that wasn't on the poll is the NRA's gun rag, Shooting Illustrated. They've got some writers who write with unique and entertaining styles, making rather passe topics interesting to read.

Probably Guns Magazine and American Handgunner. I like Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement and Combat handguns sometimes too, but lately all they write about are 1911's and AR-15's.
