What is your most fun plink. rifle: 30-50 yards?

I have sort of an addiction to .22 lr semi autos rifles. Picking one would be difficult. But, I'd say, today, my Remington Nylon 66.

This. An Apache Black Remington Nylon 66 with a 3x9 variable .22 scope, purchased brand-spankin' new in 1977. I must have over 50,000 rounds through the beauty and she still fires like the day I brought her home from Gibson's in Midland, TX (ah, those were the days).

For pure plinking, I'd probably grab the old Ruger 10/22 with a 4x scope on it.

Good choice, but for just plain fun plinking I alternate between a Winchester 62A and a Marlin 39.

Even with old eyes I still prefer iron sights (receiver or tang mounted peep sights.)

Got a couple of plinkin' guns..

10/22 Ruger

OLD Marlin 99 that was a $20 pawn shop rescue

Out of what I currently own (until a recent boating accident anyway :neener:)
I'd have to go with my Nylon 66 seen in the top of this photo:

That nylon 66 is SO much fun to bang away with, surprisingly accurate, and real cheap to feed :)

but my Mosin Nagant 91/30 is a very close second, ammo's relatively cheap, I LOVE the report and recoil, and it's as accurate as I need it to be, I also got lucky with my Mosin, it has a really sweet smooth trigger, which doesn't always seem to be the case from what I've seen and read. Honestly, every time I shoot my Mosin, I love it more and more, so glad I bought that cosmoline-covered hunk of wood and steel on a whim based on the $100 price tag :D

aren't they ALL fun!? :neener::eek: 22lr, to 45-70, every single one of them are fun for me. if they were not fun, why shoot? the only time it would not be fun is in a defensive situation. whether it be from a bad guy, or something trying to eat you.

Ruger 10/22 Tactical Target with a Burris Fastfire red dot. I use empty aluminum cans and plastic soft drink bottles filled with water as targets (as well as the metal and plastic swinging targets.

Without question, the "lowly" .22LR. Mine is also plenty accurate for 100 yard plinking.

One of my Henry Lever 22's are always popular with anyone who stops by for a "plinking session", we sure have a lot of fun with them!

The rifle is a Remington Model 12 A 1929 vintage, I bought it as a basket case and got it shooting. It will shoot CB's ,shorts, longs and long rifles, intrerchangeably within the same magazine tube loading.

What happened to the third rifle down in your pictures?

If it came that way from the factory I would ask for a refund. Part of the stock is missing.;)
