Not for pistols but I do have a box of these - .30-06.

Those are strange Gunny. What are the other two projectiles in each case, are they cones with recessed bases?

I'm not sure. I think they are just flat disc. Back in the day they were advertised as the best self defense ammo on the market. I don't think they did very good pass 15 yards.

IMG_3863.JPG Here's some of the same 22 Short ammo in post #28 by Redleg Rick.. Picked up a brick 5 or 6 years ago from Graf & Sons IIRC. Made in Poland but undated. Very nice, accurate stuff. Don't use 22 short very much but wish I had purchased more of this when it was available. Also have a bunch of old 7x57 Mauser ammo made by Kynoch in England that I picked up a couple sardine cans of back in the early 90's. Made in 1937 according to the head stamp and packaged in January 1938 per the stamp on the bottom of each 50 round box. Still shoots great but I don't shoot it anymore other than chronographing a few several years ago. Someday maybe I'll find an interested collector. IMG_1276.JPG IMG_1278.JPG IMG_1281.JPG

I actually had a Winchester yacht cannon, got it at a garage sale for $5, they were using it as a door stop. Didn't have original base, was attached to a piece of I-beam, but still commanded a hefty price when I sold it.

The shells I had for it were old paper black powder blanks, and they were LOUD! I attached a 20' cord to set it off and it was still too loud without hearing protection.

I actually do see it everyday, in the summer, when i drive The Lost Pearl out of Rudee Inlet, in Virginia Beach. We fire our little cannon 4x a day at Capt.Jack's Pirate Ship Adventures.

Last year, Remington (?) stopped making them during a factory re-fitting. We had a heck of a time finding a new source.

The only odd ammo I have is a box of Black Talons in .45acp. I did have a box of .41 rimfire short(someone shared a pic that looked like it above), but i gave it away to a friend who had a derringer that fired it, and had never found any ammo for it.

I have my dad’s old cartridge collection. It totals about 700 rounds plus or minus some, but I don’t have any pics. A couple of the more interesting are the “tround” for the Dardick, pictured earlier. And some original .44 rimfire for the Henry. They have a raised “H” instead of the much more common stamped headstamp.

The only thing I have that is past 30-40 years old is a box of the Remington Kleanbore ammo in 30 Remington. Not sure of the age but they are for my wifes grandmothers pump rifle in 30 Remington. :) She hunted with the rifle until late 80's or early 90's.

"Is that a Gyrojet projectile in the top right corner?"

Actually a German WWII Walther Rocket round, pre-dates the Gyrojet. Unfortunately a repro. A real one, if you can find one, goes for a couple of grand.......or more. Actually about $2500+ of cartridges there. For better or worse, I pretty much have all the cheaply attainable examples in the calibers I collect. Now I have to dig a bit deeper, both to find and pay for what I need.
