I had my Kabar Dozier Design folder. Son in law and his two boys all had Benchmades I've given them over the years. Which was kind of cool. All packages were successfully opened.

An SOG BladeLight I received as a gift some years ago. Handy to have a flashlight and a blade in one package. The liner lock isn't very secure, but for opening mail and presents, it works just fine.

I had another knife on me, but the SOG's normal place of residence makes it handy for such tasks.

Knockoff hammerhead. Giant knife for most things that I use a knife for. Today I knew I would be cutting a bunch of zip ties holding toys in boxes, so I figured the leverage would be nice. Slide it in and give it a spin... POP

Those ceramic knives I pictured earlier absolutely cannot be used to pry with, in any fashion. They WILL snap, and the edges WILL chip.

But heaven help you of you lose sight of the fact that they will slice through tape, plastic, paper, and cardboard like a hot knife through butter.

Just because my youngest daughter brought her liberal boyfriend over today (I'm not gonna disrespect him by referring to him as a snowflake, let's just say I've got a lot of work to do with him if they stay together) -- I brought out a Ka-Bar (a standing joke between us, she got it, but the wife thought I was nuts, and he was... well, his eyes got big). (pic from an old thread about what we thought our best-looking favorite knives are)
