Being realistic as possible, what are you guys looking to emerge this coming year. Will it be a big year for the industry?

Hard to say what I'd "expect". What I see as reasonable products that I'd like to see:

A duty-sized (ie, 15+ round double stack and 4+" barrel) 9mm from Kel-tec.

A more competition oriented SR9 with a 5" or so barrel and no manual safety.

What I WANT to see is a decently priced Bushmaster ACR as well as an HK36 produced in the US :)

What I'd realistically like to see is to get my hands on a Kel-Tec KSG.

A Ruger LCR chambered in 500 S&W haha...or more realistically...a .22 conversion kit for my M&P9...Ruger MK III Hunter chambered in .22 TCM...a 10mm M&P...Ruger Mini 14 chambered in 300 Blackout or 6.5 Grendel....not sure what's realistic though lol

In 2012?

I expect to see some of the guns announced a year ago at last years 2011 Shot Show finally show up.
Maybe.

Yeah right, Kel-tec makes new and innovative products, not alterations of what has already been done for decades.
I'd like to see Kel-tec triple their production so that they can finally meet demand. And actually sell all of the cool guns that they've designed recently (RFB, KSG, PMR-30).

would like to see other manufacturers make 5.7 ammo so the price will drop. 22 bucks a box hurts big time when it holds 20 bullets a mag.

Name me one other centerfire caliber that you can buy a 50 round box of for $22 bucks.

Any cheaper then that and it would have to a rim-fire caliber.

I think if it became a mainstream caliber that everyone made guns and ammo for?
The price would be about double what it is with FNH selling it at cost to promote 5.7 gun sales.

If they ever give up and throw in the towel and stop making those two guns?
You can bet 5.7 ammo will double in price overnight, at least.

Maybe not this year, but soon:

Ruger Scout Rifle in .243 and 7-08
Kahr CM45 (Chopped and channeled CW45 or less fancy PM45)
Lever-action carbines in .327 Federal Magnum

Less likely / further out
Ruger SR45 and SR45C

Um 9mm, .40, 45acp, 38 even 380 nowadays.

Prices for 5.7 are more in line with your 357 sigs and 10mm

Make no mistake about it this is a handgun round albiet a very modern one.

Realistic: 9mm version of the Sig P238. Polymer framed Springfield EMP or similarly lightened version. Something new from Glock. I don't care myself but it's probably overdue. 101 year anniversary 1911s, you guys just don't know when to stop. More polymer, less metal everything.

Fantasy: Single stack CZ RAMI. Kel-Tec PF9 chambered in 5.7x28 with oh maybe 20 rounds in a double stack mag. Ruger 10-22 chambered in 5.7x28. Kahr MK9 with a DA/SA and external hammer. Ruger Camp Carbine in your choice of semi-auto pistol mags such as 1911, M&P, XD and XDm, Sig, CZ and okay, glock.

How about a subcompact Steyr M40? Or a double stack Kahr? ... My only gripe against Kahrs (aside from hit & miss quality) is the mag capacity.

Saw this on a Kel Tec survey a while ago, and thought it was a great idea. I want a bullpup pistol caliber carbine.

A sub2000 with a folding or collapsible stock. I'd rather have that than a folding rifle. And one that takes XD magazines.

Might see:

Kel-Tec PF9 in .22WMR
.22LR versions of the LCP and LC9 for training
A 9mm version of the S+W Bodyguard
A pistol-caliber carbine from a "name" manufacturer other than Beretta for under $500

Want to see:

A changeable backstrap version of the CZ P07
An inexpensive polymer-framed 1911
Commander-sized versions of the SR1911 and Remington R-1
A SR1911 / R1 dedicated to USPSA
More companies donating the NRA ILA with every gun sold
