The Firing Line
www.getoffthex.com the forum of tactical response, i have trained there and it is a great forum for info on many subjects.
and that is about it.
www.explorerforum.com, not gun related but I drive an explorer and if anyone else on here does than that is an awesome site to visit.
sportbiketrack time forum
and a slew of other forums i dont frequent as much. guns and motorcyle racing. gotta love it
For firearms forums it's pretty much here and then falfiles from time to time.
www.gunandgame.com is a good one with friendly folks. Just general guns, hunting, shooting, fishing, humor, etc. Kinda like a family there.
I've lurked on a few other firearms related forums, but the only ones I have joined are THR, The Firing Line, and Rimfire Central. THR is my favorite and was the first one I joined because I like the respectful "High Road" atmosphere, and the members seem particularly friendly and helpful. I'm in no way new to shooting, but I'm still fairly green in my serious gun knowledge, and I've found THR a great place to learn without getting cussed out.
I also spend time on several 4WD (Pirate4x4 is my favorite), fast car, motorcycle, and forestry/arborist forums.
defensivecarry.com is the only other gun forum I frequent. I used to lurk at thefiringline.
I'm actually a knife forum transplant. Usualsuspect.net and bladeforums.com.
www.redneckarcher.com (under contsruction)
I frequent the following forums:
www.hipointtalk.com (These guys are awesome. Even if you are not a fan oh Hi Points, as many are not the people and other information over there is great.....)
www.nasgaweb.com (Ok... not firearms related but I do go here a lot as I am a Highland Games competitor and Athletics Director....)
www.rimfirecentral.com (Feed the cheap fix.....)
the Firing Line
Hi Point forums (the 2 main ones)
home page of the dead.com (I still am a zombie lover at heart)
I used to read the ruger forums, but haven't in 6 months or so...
Oh, and even though I am in Texas, I love read calguns.net-- I feel badly for those "behind the curtain", and find it interesting the crazy things they have to do just to own guns out there... Good luck Cali gun owners!! I support you and your struggle!
I did the TFL and THR for a while, got tired of reading the same post on both sites, so just decided to stick with THR.
I swear there are some days you can open both sites and the threads are almost identical to each other.
www.eotacforum.com has always been a favorite of mine.
What? Do you mean the .us site?
One of the interesting things about Oleg's site is the Parent's Corner SubForum.
You got that right! (Re: .us/.org)
This one, of course, Mnguntalk, Twincitiescarry, ADVrider, Stromtrooper,Ar15,
I waste enough time on these that I refuse to give in and get on facebook or twitter as some of my family bug me to do
Defensive Carry and TFL. Check in on Glocktalk and AR15.com once in a while, but not like I used to since they've become such complete clown shows.
shotgunworld.com for folks who use shotguns for more than HD
28gauge society for those who like that small bore
16gauge for fans of that
along with all of the other previously mentioned
TFL - for its fine moderation
the local TX forums.
I am a moderator on another forum (politics) and it is taboo to go too much into other forums. Hwevr. This thread is appropriate for sure and my apologies for implying it was not.
I agree that discussing other forums can frequently lead down the path of "they suck" or "this place sucks compared to X".
Since you asked. I frequent the survivalist board and bladeforums.
Forums I frequent:
THR (of course)
PAFOA.org (PA Firearm Owners Association)
I have accounts on several others, but these are the ones I visit frequently.
firearms related news articals
I won't bad mouth a forum. Given my list, I will say that I have two Glock 27's and really like them.
such a wealth of information and everyone is very helpfull with any questions you may have.
Thats all I go to outside THR. but I'm gonna go check out some I've seen listed here now.
