What parts of AK you never clean ?

The question should be what parts do you clean. Bolt, bore, and carrier after each range trip. Siaga. Only kind we can have.

Never? I go with the routine I was taught in military service with Valmet RK62: every part is to be cleaned thoroughly. Period. Even though it's (essentially) an AK, that doesn't mean dirt doesn't absorb moisture from air humidity and eventually corrode parts if you neglect cleaning them.

Both my M92S and FEG are stored clean, like rest of my guns. AK:s may work after a bunch of abuse and neglect, but I rather not try that out in practise myself.

Just because someone says "you don't have to clean the gas-tube", does not mean "you can't clean the gas tube". I clean my gas tube.
I just feel it is wrong not to clean something that was heavily “touched” by burnt gun powder. btw , can anyone give me advice how to efficiently clean a gas piston on AK? I use copper brush but there are still black marks. When I served in an overseas military we cleaned our gas pistons by sticking them to the ground or even better, sand , and would rotate them little bit and I guess sand or soil particles would scape off any gun powder residue. Wipe of excess dirt , oil it and good to go . We just needed to make sure not to be caught by officers since this was totally unapproved method

LOL. I was shown cleaning the gas pistons like that back in the 60's, and was told the same thing about catching hell if you got caught. Cleaned M1's, AK's etc like that all along, and never had an issue.
I always thought that the unapproved part was simply because it was way too easy, and they wanted you to be miserable cleaning them. :)

Well, there is always "that guy" who would get sand into the gun doin that. !!! I imagine that would be the reason. I can easily imagine some guy doing that!!
