Buy, sell, trade. Have owned and shot many, only a few get to stay. Like to hunt and shoot but am not a collector. One of favorite pistols is still a 25 year old Mark II.

In the 40+ years I've been collecting, I have sold one gun, and it was a Jennings J22 jam-o-matic, and I only sold it because a friend needed a cheap gun. Otherwise, I would still have it, too.

I keep all I own. No regrets that way. If I needed the money maybe. But, they would be the last to go.

I've given a few away and traded in a S&W Sigma that I had a passionate dislike for. Other than that I've still got them all.

However, I'm not averse to selling most of them if I needed the money for something else. Frankly, I've got a few that don't get shot much because I just don't like shooting them as much as others. They deserve better owners.

About 75%. The only one I don't regret selling is the RG 44 mag I bought at a gun show in the late 70s.

About 2/3's of the ones I sold were purchased on a whim and to try them out. Some stayed and some didn't. The other 1/3 are guns that I bought early on primarily for hunting (shotguns mostly) and have stopped small game hunting for the most part and will use a 22 if I go now.

I sold all (well, both) my handguns chambered in .40S&W. Other than that, the only handgun I've sold is my very first one and I regret it. A friend kept asking me to buy it and I had the opportunity to upgrade to a nicer model of the same gun with night sights so I sold it and traded up. Wouldn't you know, I've never shot the "upgraded" gun as well...

Oh, and I sold a .30-06 Winchester Model 70 Classic Super Grade once. It was a gun that had been in the US Repeating Arms archives and I realized I would never shoot it so I sold it to someone who would hopefully appreciate it more.

I have 20+ guns. Most I bought myself, 4 were handed down from my dad. I have never once considered selling any of them. I plan on handing them down to my children and grand children.

100% of guns I have bought, been given or inherited.

My collection is a black hole, guns come in, they never leave
