What percentage of your guns are "synthetic"?

75% are synthetic. All my guns are shot, no safe queens here. Wood is dinged, dented, and damaged. Then it's ugly. I take care of guns as best I can even in the field but it's inevitable that there's going to be something...

Depends on whether we're talking long arms or handguns. Rifles and Shotguns, about 1/3rd synthetic. Handguns...well, I guess about half of them have polymer grips; but there's only two polymer handguns and neither of them are glock :)

If you include laminate as synthetic, as I do, 100 % of mine are synthetic. That also includes my new Browning Cynergy O/U shotgun. I paid MORE for the composite/camo version than the wood/blued as the stock fit better & is adjustable and the camo just made my redneck heart do cartwheels in happiness.

Guns are tools to me, I want them as strong, stable and weather resistant as possible. I find plenty of beauty in the form, function and ruggedness of my working guns.

None unless you count the plastic grips on my 1911 Colt and the 9mm Star. Nothing against modern guns, I would love to own a few but with limited funds I seem to be drawn to walnut and blued steel.

3 of 10.

An AR style rifle, a Savage .22, and a ML.

All the others, from new to 110 years old, are walnut and blued.

This does not count my MN M44....I have no idea what the Rooskies made that stock from...potatoe skins maybe?:D

The only plastic gun in my collection is the AR. A wood AR would just be goofy. The only other plastic gun I could see myself getting is a defensive shotgun (or another AR.) We have a few stainless handguns, all of which were bought in stainless for aesthetic rather than practical reasons.

It's about 10% currently. Just the two AR's. Everything else is wood and steel. Some of it well over a century old and still cooking.

If you include Glocks, probably about 8-10%. I simply don't buy stainless guns unless that is the only choice. I own one 22 rifle that is stainless and with synthetic stock.

I own a 2nd Gen Glock 19, but other than that no SS or synthetic.

CZ 452, Remington 740, H&R 12ga Topper, and a Rohm 66. All wood and blue :D

"There is no downside to having synthetic guns so why bother with anything else. "

Some folks count ugly as a downside. :D For instance, my Sig X-5 TAC TB - coated stainless slide, coated alloy frame, plastic grips is highly functional, but ugly.

Not ugly, my Guerini Woodlander 28 ga.

A nice old beat up wooden stock stills looks better than an old beat up plastic stock.
