What Pistol do you carry.

Well, there are times when I'm feeling like I was born in the wrong century I'll carry this.

If six aren't enough I can escape in the smoke screen.:neener:

Primary is a Kimber Ultra CDP II in .45 ACP, which replaced the HKUSP45C which served only a year or so at the beginning of my carry days about 14 years ago. It totally and completely outclassed the HK in every conceivable way, but then I'm a 1911 guy, from long before that, so I was probably not going to be satisfied until some kind of 1911 was on me at all times. Backup is a KT P-32. Unshakable for over 12 years now.

I just bought a Charter Arms Boomer .44 special with a nitride finish. Its very small, fits in the same desantis nemesis pocket holster at the ruger LCR. Its also very light at 18 ounces.

Sorry, didn't finish the question. I carry the Glock due to its 10-round .45ACP load. It's not the most easily concealable pistol, but it's not too difficult with sensible clothing choices and you can't go wrong with 10 45's. I carry the Sig as it is lights-out the pistol I shoot the best of all of the ones I own. FWIW, my Sig P2022 is another fine shooter but as it's a 9mm I'd rather go with the 1911.

Depends on the clothes I'm wearing. If I have a long tee-shirt or a tailed shirt, I'll carry a 1911 in a Galco pancake. If concealment is more difficult, a Ruger LC9 in either a pocket holster or Thunderwear pouch. I carry one extra mag for either one. If I felt like I'd need more than 14 rounds for wherever I was going, I'd just not go to that place.

Glock...19 or 26...I did consider a Shield for a while but I recently handled one in the shop, could not release the slide to save my life. Tried to release it like pulling back on a sling shot - no luck so I gave up. I recently picked up an H&K p2000sk that's sweet and would gladly carry that too....

Sig 239 9mm most of the time. Last year I started carrying an xtra mag. I have 3 main carry guns. All very similar being DA\SA no manual safety engaged.

It varies with my mood and dress, Sometimes a P229R 40 mostly, occasionally 357 Sig (see avatar), Sig P6, H&K P30 V3 9mm, or FNP 40, all have full mag and one in the pipe. on the rare occasion when the mood strikes, it could even be Beretta 92fs Centurion or S&W 5903 TSW.

I used to carry the LCP. That was until I discovered the XDs .45ACP. It's bigger but remains a comfortable choice for EDC. Seems the older I get, the bigger I want my projectiles.

Interesting to note... It is clear that most replying pack automatics, but I see there are some (myself included) who still pack revolvers, even if only some of the time, or for backup. I find it encouraging I am not the only one!

I have considered switching to a thin mini Glock and a big Glock, in lieu of my small Smith and big old Smith. There are some advantages. When I was forming my opinion on the matter there were no mini Glocks or, if I have the chronology right, big Glocks either, at least in this country. I still consider myself pretty well armed and so am in no great hurry to switch.

If you still count on the wheel gun (in any capacity) feel free to chime in if you haven't done so, so the rest of us who carry revolvers don't feel like brown shoes with a tux. :D

Everyday at work its a G19. Even after 2 years with it I still don't like it but it is reliable and lives a hard life in a bad environment. I got it to trash as a cheap gun so I don't hurt a Sig.

Outside of work its a P229 with a RMR or a Sig P938 for the light or deep times.

My edc is either my Glock 17 or 17L with a TLR-1HL IWB at 3:30-4:00 with a spare mag or two on the off side. I an not in great shape and not able to run or fight like I used to so I carry any time I'm awake. I don't work but I'm in and out a lot running errands for family and friends and not all the time in the best of hoods.
I have younger children, many health problems, and apparently more than a few refugees locally that have unknown intentions. I live in a pretty nice and quiet neighborhood, but folks from nearby towns come to visit and take things that aren't theirs now and again, sometimes forcefully. God willing I'll never have to use my gun, but if I am placed in the position of needing it, I had better have it on me.

Usually a wheelie, my go to EDC is a LCR in .327 Federal Magnum, but what I carry really depends on where I'm going and what I'm wearing. An SP101 .357 snub and a LCRx .38+P 3" are also a possibility around town. Sometimes my travels take me to the wilds of SW Texas. On those occasions it's my Model 33 Glock in .357 Sig or my new FNH 5.7 x 28.

In summer a .357 LCR, usually pocket carried in an Uncle Mike's holster, with one speed strip reload. In fall or spring when jackets are comfortable, the same LCR kn a Simply Rugged pancake holster OWB at 3 o'clock. In winter when heavier outer garments make sense, especially if going to a public place like a mall, a Ruger American .45 with one or two extra magazines. Carried OWB in either of two high riding close-in holsters at 3 o'clock.

At work I usually carry a 9mm double-stack compact in a belly band style holster. My company has no prohibitions against carry, but I would rather my colleagues not know and that might be compromised with a tucked in shirt and an IWB holster. I also frequently carry a pocket 380, especially with shorts for weekends.

Glock 23 these days with only one mag. Its compact (although I am thinking Glock 27) and powerful enough to neutralize an immediate threat. I live in a failry safe area with minimal street crime so I think I am OK with it for now.
