What Pistol do you carry.

I've come full circle and I'm back to carrying a Glock. The 30S to be exact. Before that I was carrying a sig p320c, a Walther ppq before that, a Hk usp 45c before that, a sig p229 before that, and a Glock 23 in the very beginning of my carry career. I love the compact size handguns and feel Glock really nailed the size/capacity/weight aspects of that size firearm. I mean what's to not like about a 10+1 45 acp in basically the same size and weight of a Glock 19.

Being in the military, I don't have the option to EDC... While off post I'm quite fond of my LCP and Kahr CW45. I just got an FNS9 that I really like, but need to get a holster.

I will carry a plain-Jane Colt 1911A1 in a Kholster IWB hybrid tuckable holster for ease of use and maximum concealment, or a Ruger P95 double stack 9mm in a similar holster, depending on my needs at the moment. I often have my Mauser HSC 380 at my ankle as a backup, or as primary in a custom leather IWB. Small, quiet Mississippi river town in Missouri. Not too many overt threats. But you never know...

Astra A60. I have carried this for about fifteen years. Dependable, accurate, easily concealable and comfortable. 14 total rounds of .380. Deadly at distances most encounters occur especially, if one has been trained to take head shots. Less likely to over penetrate and easy to get back on target for follow up shots. Very easy to put all rounds in a 5" circle at 7 yards. Don't leave home without it.

Springfield Lightweight Champion in an IWB when I'm dressed casually. On workdays when I have to tuck in my shirt a S&W Bodyguard in a Desantis pocket holster. Still have a Shield that I occasionally carry IWB.

Cooler months my TP9SA with one 18rd mag, which I just switched to a couple of weeks ago. Even though it's a full size or duty size gun it conceals quite nice IWB @ 3 with a sweatshirt, which is pretty much all I wear during cooler months.

In the warmer months it'd be my LC9s with a spare mag. Conceals very well even in light clothing @ 3-4.

This would be it:
Kimber%201.png

I never would have thought a 3" .45 ACP could deliver accuracy but this little Kimber has always been both reliable and accurate. Another gun I like is a snub nose S&W Model 10. While it is pictured I seldom if ever carry any spare magazines but it came aith the gun at a good deal.

Glock 27 is EDC and a Smith 442 38 spcl for backup. Glock 23 is sometimes substituted in place of the 27 for different times of the year. I carry a Glock 17 when roaming around on our acreage and when camping.

I'm one of those guys though... It has to be a Glock. Everything else is a safe queen.

I have 2 Ruger carry pistols, an SR9c and an LC9s. I like them both, but I think the SR9c is the better pistol. That said, I find myself carrying the LC9s more often these days because I prefer IWB single clip kydex holsters (specifically, the Multi Elite) and the SR9c is really pushing the weight limit for that type of holster, at least for me. I'm trying to find a different type of holster that will work better, because I'd rather carry the SR9c. I've tried a few already that haven't worked for me (including the AlienGear Cloak Tuck 3.0), and right now I'm waiting for delivery of a Winthrop dual-snap IWB leather. I have high hopes, but who knows.

My avatar is my EDC. I normally use a High Noon Split Decision but I recently added an Uncle Mike's #4 pocket holster. The latter works well in cargo pants while the IWB works in dressy casual pants (Savane). A spare 5 round magazine is in my left pocket.

Browning hipower here. Made in '92, it's got hogue grips, is missing about 15-20% of its finish, has some scratches, and I yanked the magazine safety out as well. It's a wonderful beater that will always have a home in the leather IWB Bianchi on my hip. I carry a spare mag, weak side, in a safariland holster.

If on the rare occasion I really need a sidearm to be really and truly invisible; a sig p238 fills the role.

Back in the long long ago when I first started packin', I carried a Mauser HSc, and then a Mauser (gamba) HSc80. I love them both, but decided that the 1911 style manual of arms is far superior, and also what my habits are built around.

My LCR .38 Special with Plus P's. I shoot this revolver every week and know it well. Also it's very easy to carry in a pocket holster. Like Pistolay I'd prefer to carry my SR9c as it has more firepower and I simply love this pistol. Just haven't got used to carrying it yet because its too big for the pocket but I want to carry it more so than the LCR.
