What production knives are you jonesing for?

I got the ballistic gum, for several reasons:

-Looks better

-I *think* the INPAX sheath has some opening, either top or backside, that could allow crap to get into the sheath.

Do a search on bladeforums and you should find the answer.

-Has more anchoring points than the INPAX.

Hope this helps!

I'm eagerly awaiting the Spyderco Assist, an updated Rescue with a built-in carbide glassbreaker. Should be out in April.

Tick tock... ;)

I really like the spring assisted Kershaws. I have a Black Out and a Scallion. I believe this will be my next one:

Rainbow Leek

My wife carries a Rainbow Leek. It's a nice little knife. It's a tad on the slick side when trying to open via the "flipper" though.

Yes, that's the only reservation I have. Nevertheless, I'll probably look at them again at the next Bealeton gunshow later this month and make a final decision.

The moment either of these two are made, I want one:

1) A genuine fighting Muscrat folder, with good locks and 3.95" blades. This is a "double folder" with a blade opening in each direction.

2) A Camillus MAXX with the clip on the other end, and a "curved grip" with a fat pommel and the outer 1/2 to 1/3 of the blade double-edged.

I gotta Buck 110 in my pocket right now, love the weight and balance, just feels like a solid product. Maybe I'm getting old, but that seems kinda hard to find these days, lots of things seem, well, disposable.
I found a pocket sheath that looks like a decent deal, hopefully make it easier to keep my toys:

I still love my Tactical Folders and all their advantages, but lately been getting back to the good old "pocket knives". I'm waiting for this http://www.1sks.com/store/case-cutlery-mini-copperlock-natural-bone.html
to show up in my APO box, if its as nice as I hope, probably get one of these: http://www.1sks.com/store/case-cutlery-baby-butterbean-natural-bone.html

Cheers, Griff

I am a big fan of the Emerson Knifes. I really would like the new CQC8.

I would not mind having an Emerson Kerambit either.

I really wanted a Buck 560. Unfortunately I didn't know they were being discountinued. I would still like to find one. For now I'll stick with my 110 finger groove.

I'm hopeless.

I look at these other fancy blades, and they're nice, make no mistake.

But all I need are these. They render everything else superfluous.

44032, The Little Guy. Blade 1-5/8" OAL. Just cute as a bug's ear. $26.96. I oughta buy at least three:

44033, The Regular Guy. Plain vanilla. Shown Actual Size. The one that started the trend. Blade 2" OAL. $30.08. Used the most, and I lost one once. My Always Knife. Better get three of these too:

44034, The Big Dog. The Belt Special. Blade OAL 2-5/8". Got one used/pristine for $30. NIB price is $40.82. Fits in your hand like a Buck 110. Costs more and I've got one, so I only need two. The image is off scale, but you can see the difference in the belly of the blade.

The names I made up. Klein Tools lacks anything more than an evocative number too differentiate the models.

These are amazingly inexpensive. Buy a few. They'll horribly embarass the rest of your knives with their Irresistable Unstoppability. I have found nothing better at the price, and they compare equally against any other blade, and better than many.

The secret is officialy out. BTW, I don't work for Klein Tools or anything. I just like the knives, and I think they represent a tremendous value for their cost. How could you go wrong with that kind of qualification? In over twelve years of continuous duty, I've replaced the one that I lost, and the blade on the current one has shaped Aluminum, Acrylic plastic, Lexan, every kind of hardwood you can imagine, dozens of galvanized electrical boxes, a bunch of cast-iron bolt holes, and about fifty gazillion pencil points without so much as breaking a sweat. Add to that numerous and sundry boxes and packages.

It's got holster wear from riding around in my pocket. No rust. Sharpen it when it turns up dull, which isn't very often. The rosewood is so dark it's almost black.

 I have no clue as to what steel Klein's using to make these knives. If anyone knows a real answer, I'd sure like to know. It's amazing stuff.

Attached Jpeg shows knives in relation to each other, and exact size.

I'm currently heavily lusting after a Benchmade 630 Skirmish, its probably going to be a while untill I can get the extra money for one though. :(

Im on the list for a benchmade 630 squirmish which will be my next folder, and I have been drooling over a half dozen models of 6-8 inch combat style blades. That picture of the Military Urban Raven just made me add that to the possibilities list :).

my turn!

top three ~
1st - SOG S-1 Bowie
2nd - Ka-bar w/leather handle and plain edge
3rd - SOG Desert Dagger

no more folders for a while, i just got a kershaw spring assisted for 5 bucks!

I have a few I want (well, TONS I want, but these are the ones I'm actually considering buying with my limited funds)

1. Benchmade 630 Skirmish
2. Benchmade 520 Presidio
3. Benchmade 3100 Auto-Levitator

(I'm turning into a Benchmade snob)
