Sure, Randall delivery is out there a ways... but it's already halfway through 2004! 2008 is just around the corner.

Seriously, I ordered a couple Randalls for my kids a couple years ago. I'll have them next year. Of course, the kids have a lot more growing to do until THEY get them. :D

My wife's got one on order which should arrive in 18 mos or so.

Think of them like intermittent surprise packages. You order them... get excited about them... forget about them... and then the show up. How cool is that?

Benchmade 943SBT. Can't justify it since I have a few perfectly good EDC-type knives and I just got a Spyderfly.

Also, I want a Bottlefly

Well, considering I would never be using a high end high dollar knife for anything... I'd love an Imperial Tai Pan by Cold Steel.
But really, it would do anything that my cheap and rugged and sharp Recon Tanto factor second can't do.
For a folder... I dont think anyone makes a knife better looking than William Henry...
Then again, my Kershaw Boa wont take a back seat to it in terms of working.

Nothing fancy. Just a Swamp Rat Howling Rat.

H_R_G,
I have a Klein 44036 that was a EDC for a while. It was later carried by my wife 'til it was replaced with a Spyderco Dragonfly. You're right about the price and the unstoppability of these knives. I still carry it once in a while as a "dress" knife.

I've got a safe full of custom knives that I carry a couple of times and just put them away. Its a sickness. My newest is a Brad Duncan flipper made for Knife Art that I paid way too much for. Reason I say that is because I've just fondled the Benchmade Neil Blackwood Skirmish. Its less than half of what I paid for the custom, and I really, really, wish I had bought the Benchmade. I:banghead: I couldn't beleive the quality in this knife. Have seen the same level of quality with the Microtech/Lightfoot knife collaberation also. These factory knives have gotten to be so well made, that you almost have to scratch your head on why you spend twice to three times as much and purchase the custom. I gotta tell ya just thinking of this knife is keeping me awake at night.....

PerfectGlock, the Black Bear Classic would be my first choice, too. It's pretty expensive, though. The OSS doesn't look terribly different, and it's a whole lot cheaper. I'm not sure why that is, but I would probably go for the OSS unless I had more cash.
