"An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king" - THE PATRIOT

It's a dark day when most Americans believe that voting for a president is just picking the lesser of 2 evils. :banghead:

I fear being made a sheeple.

The Boogie Man!!!!!!

Awesome thread...

I would say economy. Also the fact that our society does everything for lazy and stupid people and cannot do anything about those rich people who take advantage of the rest of us stuck in the middle.

Crime is worrysome but manageable.

State of the world is the next big one. I really wish people would just get along. At the end, the average person wants the same things from life - to be able to take care of his/her family, no matter if he/she is in US, Iraq, or France. I know, I know, I am very naive.

The ever more restrictive laws written to purportedly address problems created in large part by our failure to manage immigration.

Took the general assualt risk assessment, a -3 or -10 depending on how I answered the carry firearms legallly or not questions.

Gary H:

I saw that on a TV show some time ago, I don't remember which one now. I have a cousin in California with health issues, and did a internet seach because I didn't remember which county had been mentioned on the show.
I just did a search using startingpage.com , and the search terms "marin"+"breast cancer". Thats some scary happenings, and you can't shoot it with a gun.

In no particular order. Most of the time it's people that drive too fast through my neighborhood that threaten my family. I'd carry if I didn't live in the PRK. People that don't believe that the second ammendment is as important as the first are pretty scary. Driving on the freeway around here is always an adventure.

Greatest threat: Democrats, followed closely by Republicans!

One of the founding fathers said something about no mans wealth or liberty are safe when the legislature is in session.

I must admit that I don't really feel threatend very often. I think some of you people on this site are flat out paraniod. Not many of you but a few are truly paranoid and should talk to someone. I am not talking about anyone that has posted to this thread, just from past experiences.

In all probability, most of us have a MUCH higher chance of being killed in a car accident than in any type of gun fight. I'll bet some people that carry guns for self protection don't always wear their seatbelt. I know I would rather get in my car and drive down to the local whatever store without my seatbelt than without my gun. It makes no sense but that is the way it is.

Gotta comment re yours, firestar.

I feel threathened not in the least, but do know that stuff's happening that likley you & yours won't be able to , uhm, resist/stand against - nor will mine.

Call it an understanding, an awakening, or plain paranoia. Frankly, I although I'd care you & yours take the proper measures to get in & out, nothing I can do about it other than to bring it up. Likely, you'll do as you see fit.

Far as me & mine, We've plans to bail out/leave/walk away from it all. No sense sitting by & watching the whole thing come apart & (especially) eatig it while we can relocate & have a few more doing as we see fit.

& absolutely zip paranoia involved. If "it" happens as we see it to likely do, we will leave & go to a more remote area where we will have more time to watch the more intense sillyness of it all.

As it happens, we'll react to it - or not.

Best motto I've ever known is: "Live & let live."

I hope they allow us even that.

Likely anything extra should be addressed PM - I'd welcome the discussiopn.
