    Hey Guys,

I am new to the forum, I am getting a AK-47 ready for the **** storm coming to our country. I was wondering what scope is shown below here.

I have a NC star "Acog-Like" scope picked out, I'd really like to get something that can be used with/without batteries.

However I saw this scope and man, it looks sweet..so I was wondering if someone out there new what this is.

    Thanks So Much!

Why not just use the open sights?

Meprolight & Trijicon both make reflex red dot sites that use no batteries. They are a combination fiberoptics and tritium. Fairly pricey ($500+?).

"Why not just use the open sights?"

The usual reasons that hold as true for the Average Joe as they do for the higher speed fellows.

I'm not familiar with the scope in question, at least not at a glance.

However, Larue Tactical's Tactical AK Iron Dot package looks promising for the budget conscious. And yes, I understand that "budget conscious" is a relative term, and that even more affordable solutions may be cobbled together. There's diminishing return in play as the price points go down, though, which we all no doubt recognize.

The letters on the side of the scope are "PK" if it's any help. Maybe PK-AS series? I see some here: http://www.avtomats-in-action.com/
