What scope mount base for M19-7 S&W?

I would like to eventually mount a scope or red dot on my S&W model 19-7 with 2.5" barrel
so that I may find the most accurate loads shooting from a bench. My gun is drilled and tapped for a base
by the factory.

This is to compensate for my old eyesight and short sighting radius.

Will the same base also work on an L frame model 686?

I, for one, should love to see a picture of the 2.5” with a scope.

The objective of most scopes will extend beyond the barrel of a 2 1/2".
