What sight is this? I keep thinking it's a Redfield but the adjustment knobs are rounded and seem to be for a nikel to adjust, eventhough they can be turned by hand. The aperture is adjustable; it is hard to see but it has 3 holes in it and can be adjusted by "swinging" it left or right. The "hole" on the left isn"t, it is a detent to hold the aperture fixed.

I think the sight is a Redfield but with coin slotted "hunting" knobs.
I haven't seen an adjustable disk just like that but Merit and older Hadleys were common in the iron sight era.

I've got what looks to be exactly the same sight on a marlin 336. If you lower it all the way , or take off the side cover plate , it should say Redfield on the bottom . At least mine does .

I'd like to know how far rach click is supposed to move the strike.

Also, if you temove the aperature, the sight becomes a ghost ring, good for hunting.
