What to buy when you're content with the guns you have?

Just a few accessories. Speedloaders for revolvers. Buttstock cartridge/shotshell carriers for normal rifles and shotguns. Mags for anything that uses those, from your Enfield to your machine gun. Slings. And ammo. Buy it cheap as you can so you can afford to shoot it.

...when you're content with the guns you have...

When will that be? There's always another gun I want.

That said, I agree with those who said the next thing (since training and hunting trips fall outside the category of accessories), unless you're already there, is reloading tools and supplies.

I'm still trying to get past 'content...'

ETA: I know that comment adds nothing to the discussion...but that was my first thought. Content? What's that?

Shoot more, talk less...

^agree^ Looked at a Ruger GSR just today but I don't need it and right now I can't afford it so im content to want it and not have it.

But I am buying some magazines and more ammo soon and shooting in my first IDPA event.

Watch your lane.

Training, training, and more training. I started training in earnest about four or five years ago. The classes can easily run the cost of a new weapon but in my opinion it is well worth it.

Content??? What I do is upgrade and experiment. I would love to have better scopes with higher magnification and clearer views for prairie dog shooting and zeroing rifles. Would love to have a better quality spotting scope. And I would love to try several different 22 Hornets and maybe 2-3 different .204s and .223s and a couple more 17 HMRs. I'd like a couple of minty vintage Model 12s in 20 and 12. There are several pistols I would love to shoot/own. Guess I'll never be "content".

You haven't reached the point of having "enough" of anything, and you never will. It doesn't exist.

What does exist is reaching a point of maturity when you realize enough is enough.

Donate to a charity that helps feed/clothe/protect kids, or to helping find a cure for cancer. You can't take it with you. Help the less fortunate, IMHO.

Go to a LGS every week, a different one than the one that you went to last week, and just wait for a gun to jump out at you... And start reloading.

This may sound odd but the more firearms I own the less happy I feel. At times I've really thought about selling down to one center fire rifle, one shotgun, two center fire pistols, a 22 LR rifle, and two others. They'd get used much more often. As it is, I typically take the same few ones out each time.

Well you can just send that money thats burning a hole in your pocket to me and I'll use it until I'm content with what I have :p. Alot like Obamanomics but I can't force you to do it.

Training

Once you've bought all the toys you want you can spend budget on growing and refining your skills with them.

The have to have with one rifle is at least 10 mags,1000rds ammo 62-68grn,small cleaning kit, good zeroed iron sights, sling, carry case,& hearing protection

I was just getting ready to buy some "glass" for a couple of rifles....Then Arne Boberg sent me an email and said my number was up. :uhoh:
