If you have a handgun that you don't shoot anymore would you sell it and get something else you might like or do you keep it because its worth more now than when you got it?

Gun in question is a Kel-Tec PMR30. I got it brand new and shot 50 rounds through it and have not touched it in over a year now.

Part of me says sell but another part says keep its different and its unique

Well, it's no longer a collector gun, you shot it... (as you should have) SO, keep shooting it or sell it...

Unless it has sentimental value, I say sell it. I see no reason to have a gun you dont shoot....sell it and buy something new.....

Id keep it dude reason why is its a fun gun and who knows it might be worth more in the long run if you keep it.

There are a couple of good reasons to sell a gun. One, is that you simply don't like it, and don't want it. No loss there. Another is that you have found another gun that does the job better. Conversely, if you don't need to sell a gun, you probably shouldn't. Sometimes, you can find someone to trade guns with, and both parties end up with a better deal.

I normally don't sell a gun to fund another gun in a different catagory. The exception to that might be for a hard to get, or unique gun, and I have a short time frame in order to get it.

If you have only put 50 rounds through it sell it. Its obvious you don't like it. I have a few guns that sit around in my safe.
They are guns that I have shot and enjoyed a lot in the past and may again.

But 50 rounds total...

That gun I'd sell. To me that's not a safe queen, it's just a gun not getting used.Is it a post recall gun? If not has it been returned to the factory for the new mods? You can probably make a profit on it as they are selling for a big chunk of change now.

Just leave it in the safe until you need the space. If you can't make the space buy another safe.

I am working on buying back one of the guns I sold that I did not shoot much. After a few years I regretted it and now am getting it back.

If I didn't like the gun, I'd sell it .......but if I do like it, I'd keep it.

I shoot everything I own ( about 35 handguns / about 18 shotguns / 6 rifles..)....but I don't shoot them all equally...and in the last 25 yrs, I've only sold one shotgun, because it didn't fit me...and one big game rifle that I really never did like...

Yep, been doing for a long time. If I find something I want, I find something I don't "need" anymore.

Well, it never has been and never will be very valuable. It's a .22 WMR pistol. While it's a step above .22LR, it's still just a .22. It's up to you, really. There will be no long-term collectors value, so if you'd rather have the money to invest elsewhere, go for it. If it were me, I'd probably sell it and get a .22LR target pistol. Just more practical and cheaper to feed.

If you don't shoot it sell it. That is what I did and have no regret. Use the money to buy something you will shoot or for some other purpose.

Hmm...considering the current climate regarding guns in general, I would try to hang on to everything I have. If you don't need the cash for day to day expenses, I'd definitely suggest keeping it, and buying a few more magazines if possible. Just my .02

I would hang onto that........

......for now. Even if it is only a .22, it's a thirty rounder in a very politically charged climate. Those old Grendels from before the last ban would always sell for a decent amount. Those might not be selling much longer.

A) You don't enjoy it enough to shoot it.
B) It's neither a collector's item nor something with sentimental value.
C) I assume .22Mag isn't a common caliber for other guns in the safe.

I see no reason to keep it in the safe. Sell it or maybe the climate now would be good for trading it for something you would shoot more or that might be hard to find now.
