For practice I shoot mostly Berry's plated in 9mm, 40 and 45.

For self defense practice / inventory I prefer Hornady XTP.

I usually shoot 115gr 9mm "hoolows" because we had a boatload of those bullets so I use them reloading. Need to resupply soon though :(
Got 1K of lead cast SWC's for .45 I need to start on.

Almost time..

...

Range-practice.. 90% FMJ, 10% JHP.

I have almost 2 cases, each, of spent cartridges, 9mm, 40cal, 45cal.

Getting near buying auto loader.. time.

I shoot 155 grain Ranier's out of my 40's and 125 grain Remington SJHP's outta my 357. I bought 3000 of the Rainier's for $225 from Midway, the 357 bullets were $129/2000.

I shot a lot of Wolf & Monarch steel cased, and CCI aluminum Blazer when I could get the 9mm under $100/1000 and the .45 under $150/1000. Now with the price rises I'm back to reloading. Fortunately I picked up about a two year supply of components to salt away while prices were still low and reloading didn't offer enough savings. Eating into the stockpile now.

FMJ for target.

As a general rule, FMJ = targets, JHP & Silvertips HP's for Personal Protection Rounds.

When it comes to the AK & SKS stuff, (7.62 X 39), it's what ever you can get a thousand for, if you can get a thousand at one time now. I was able to get a thousand once that was a blueish match type w/ a 'nipple end' to the bullett. Saw them once.

Cast, for competition and practice, hardball for carry. One of these days, I'm gonna find enough HPs to do a test through my guns, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
