What is the most recent knife you bought?

Zero Tolerance 0301ST & Masters of Defense Watson Trident.

I'm not much of a knife person though. Still trying to figure out a good way to sheath the ZT and mount it to either my plate carrier or battle belt. The MOD is part of my BUG hip kit so in case I have to ditch things I can still have the basics in an emergency.

I put my fixed blade on my pack strap since it goes over the armor, but also keep a folder and multitool on my pants belt in case, as you say, everything else gets ditched. As long as I'm wearing pants, I've have a blade, lol.
Coincidentally, that honor currently resides with the last knife I bought- an old Schrade Outback:

Right now my hip pouch bug out BU kit consists of an old admin pouch back when I was in, a pocket gun, MOD knife, smallest Surefire, and lighter. I'm going to add some basic first aid to it at some point.

I also plan on swapping out the Colt XSP (12 ounces) for something a bit lighter like the LCP 2 (10.6 ounces). I was considering either the the G42 or the G43 but at 13.9 and 18.3, lol no.

This “Green River” knife from Russell is more the “latest knife I rediscovered” knife than the “last knife I bought” knife. I can’t even remember when and where I bought it (probably off Amazon), but I just threw it in the “knife drawer” in the kitchen and forgot about it - until about a month ago.
Now I use it almost daily for everything from slicing apples or English muffins and bagels or biscuits, to cutting up chicken, to smearing almond butter on a slice of toast, to cutting off slices of “hickory smoke” Spam, and then flipping the slices over in the skillet until they’re brown on both sides. It’s a little large for a paring knife (5" blade), and it’s a little small for carving a large roast or turkey, but I use it for everything in-between. It has become my most used kitchen knife. In fact, one of us (my wife, daughter or son-in-law) was using it while we were cutting up a venison a couple of weeks ago.
And from what I remember, it was fairly inexpensive. For kitchen duties, it seems to hold an edge real well too, yet a few strokes on the steel brings it back up to wicked sharp in almost no time.
BTW, my wife is more of a “the right knife for the right job” type person, so she seldom uses my all-around, all-purpose Green River knife. She doesn’t know what she’s missing. ;)
In fairness, my wife says, "The handle is too big for my hand." It's the perfect size for my hand though.

Oooo, I have almost that same pouch in black (it was an M9 cleaning kit at some point, lol) and I was trying to decide what to do with it.....:D

I bought mine from the Brigade Quartermaster that showed up out of nowhere at Fort Irwin. CA was a real drag on lack of gear shops, and clothing & sales only had what was being issued at the time, big blah. What was really nice about that BQ store was that they stocked only what was 670-1 approved clothing, leaving no room for error or question about purchasing anything such as boots, etc. The gear was nice to have too. Especially for the rotational units visiting right before deployments where folks could get things that couldn't be found locally.

And Brigade Quartermasters is where I bought my MoD Trident, heck of great knife.

I just took delivery of a pre-owned but near-pristine Les George Galvo dagger, a shorter version of the Les George-designed Spartan V-14. The longer V-14, being more than 5.5” in blade length, falls into the “location-restricted” prohibition in the Texas Penal Code, so, having the shorter Galvo is going to be a nice option, at times. (Thankfully, double-edged knives are no longer prohibited, in Texas.)

The V-14, and the Galvo, share a handle configuration that I really like.
