What is the most recent knife you bought?

“Detent” and lock are run by magnets rather than springs or tension.

3” blade and 2.5” cutting edge.

The odd looking cutout on the handle has a lever that when pushed down deploys the blade. It can also be middle or thumb flicked open.

This design makes a distinct “ting” when deployed.
@460Shooter that is one cool knife. Above my pay grade (not hard I'm retired). Thanks for sharing it is neat!

The truck just dropped this one off. Victorinox Swiss Army One-Hand Sentinel. Don’t know if it even has hands, if it does, just one. It is sharp out the box. It is lighter than expected. Looks like a bird. I will carry this around and see how I like it.

Vintage Gerber BMF via ebay. I had one back in in the 90s that ended up getting stolen by a dishonorable thief of a soldier and I never really got over it and so I finally replaced it for $300 + shipping and taxes. BMF = Basic Multi-Function knife allegedly but with an 8 3/4" blade and weighing in at 17 oz, it's definitely a Big Mother _______. the original knife came with a compass that inserts into the sheath but this knife was lacking that. I still have the compass from the stolen knife floating around here somewhere however so, all in all, I am pretty happy right now.

Been looking at those for awhile, nice knives.

Just can't figure out why they're so expensive.

Thought I would try a Pyrite button flipper from CJRB Cutlery. Very impressed with the quality. G10 scales feel good, ceramic ball bearing gives fantastic open and close action, steel liners and the blade is centered perfectly. No play in the blade and it locks up real nice. The steel is similar to D2 and easily sliced paper out of the box. Came with a stainless steel deep set reversible pocket clip and nice carry case.

I've been intrigued by designs like the Tailbone. I've put plenty of beads on the ends of braided lanyards sized to fit the hand like the tang/grip of a knife before, but they were just extensions instead of substitutions.
