What is the most recent knife you bought?

I took both knife photos off the internet. I have the K BAR, which I bought to fill the empty spot in my soul for the Camillus USN knife. My BIL a WW2 Navy Vet gave it to my Dad and I used it to gut my first deer, 62 years ago. I drug the buck off the mountain and back to camp. I didn't miss the knife until we were on our way home. I'd left it on a rock by the gut pile. IMG_0431.JPG IMG_0432.JPG I looked for it a couple of weeks later and every time I hunted that area. I hope someone found it and gave it a good home.

That half track is gorgeous. I’ve wanted one for awhile.

That half track is gorgeous. I’ve wanted one for awhile.

The wharncliffe Half Track is a great blade profile, and the action on them has always been pretty good for me. I've had five or so. This is my first all-Ti one, though. I am unsure it's worth the $200 premium. I really wish we'd get some Full Tracks period, but especially some with the great wharncliffe blade. MagnaCut is a nice premium choice, too. The flipper action and ergonomics in my opinion is superior to the XM series. The frame area by the flipper tab lacks the very sharp jimping that makes flipping an XM painful for me. The Eklipse and Jurassic are also better than the XM in my book.

My first hand-crafted knife purchase, had my eye on one of these for several months but Dawson Knives' recent 25% off sale finally coaxed me into clicking "buy." First impressions are very good. Balance point is right at the front handle screw, they used a pretty thick 0.210" billet of CPM Magnacut steel to make this blade from. Heavier than it appears to be at first glance. I dig the leather/kydex hybrid holster. Offers lots of different carry options/configs.

Not sure how they apply the finish, don't know how well it will hold up to real use. Will report back on that.

The symmetry is very good to my eye, probably 99%. If you scrutinize it carefully, you can pick up on very subtle imperfections that lend credence to it being handmade.

Visited Smoky Mountain Knife Works yesterday. Just a short drive from the airport. Picked up a CRKT Bonafide. Couldn’t help myself, it was calling my name. And with free shipping (take it with me); sealed the deal. It is a liner lock with a button for quick take down. Push up and forward to take apart. Not as sharp as other knives from CRKT. And no, I didn’t fly to Knoxville to visit smkw. But it was the first place I visited.

Ohhhhh this one is so very good.

CKF Sukhoi 4
Titanium frame
Titanium inlays
Milled textured carbon fiber inlays
Handle is thicker at the backspacer and tapers down to the finger position. That’s nothing new but combined with the number of finely cut inlays, it’s a nice touch.
4.1 inch M398 blade.
Zircuti clip and pivot collars.
Zirconium backspacer.

Wonderful ergos. I really like this one. The action is super smooth.

The more I acquire, the more I like CKF knives.

Latest is one of the new Kershaw Launch 15 autos in MagnaCut. I like it so far, deploys reliably and locks up with zero play.

Not sure what you're asking. The stripes are basically a tiger stripe "paint job". The shape is called a recurve. The steel is CPM S30 V? ???
Thanks I should have been clearer.
Type of steel and if it was a coating for the strips.
