Handgun - Springfield Mil Spec 1911.
Shotgun - Mossberg 500
Rifle - Yugo M70 Underfolder AK

1st Gun Marlin Model 60 with the squirrel on the stock bought by my dad used for me when I was about 7.

1st Shotty was a used single Shot 12ga H&R a few months after getting my Marlin.

1st Pistol was a used Browning Buckmark that my dad bought me when I was 10.

1st Revolver was an old H&R 9 shot .22 that I traded some Motorcycle parts for. I was 14.

1st Centerfire revolver was a model 10 38spcl I traded my cousin the Buckmark for when I was 18 (I did get some boot).

1st Centerfire pistol was a 9MM luger copy that I gave $150 for at a yard sale.

1st Centerfire Rifle (that I actually bought my Grandpa left me a great 1903 Springfield) was a beat up 700 Remmy in 30-06. I gave $175 for. Refinished the Stock, re-blued the barrel and traded it and some boot for a Browning A Bolt when I was 18.

First "Real" Gun

I had a BB gun when I was a bit less than five years old. And, no, I didn't shoot my eye out, or shoot anything I wasn't supposed to. We didn't have the movies and video games back in the 1950s to inspire us to be stupid.

I have an 8x10 B&W photo of me all dressed up nice with my little BB rifle. I don't know what kind it was. I was at an Army base in Germany, so it could have been American-made or European.

But I got my first "real" gun in 1966, when I was ten. My dad gave me a Savage Model 5 bolt action/tube magazine .22 rifle. He would take me out to the country east of town (about a 15-minute ride back in those days) and teach me to shoot standing, sitting and prone. I loved that gun.

My mom gave it away to someone when I was in college. She gave away my Ruger Single-Six, too. She was nuts back then. Still is.

I replaced the Ruger with a new one from a gun shop, and recently found a Savage Model 5, after years of looking, at gunbroker.com.

So now all is right with the world.

My first firearm was a Remington Number 4 rolling block in .22 RF that I got when I was 11 years old from a neighbor for mowing his lawn. I still have it.

My first pistol was a Smith & Wesson model 1 1/2 tip-up revolver in .32 rimfire that I bought at a local antique store when I was 12.

My first shotgun was a Stevens 20-gauge single-barrel that my stepfather bought me when I was 13.

stevens crackshot .22lr .22L and .22short that belonged to my father. His father has on that he got for his father when he was a kid and he's 80 now so its an old gun and still shoots fine. I love that gun still use it to shoot pesky birds its a tackdriver.

First gun/shotgun- Stevens 311H(or is it G) 20 ga. 26" barrels choked imp/mod. My dad cut the stock down so that my little butt could shoulder it. 12 -15 years later added a piece of 1/8" thick oak where the saw blade cut the stock, added the cut off section back to it, and refinished it. 2 or 3 coats of stain, and close to 10 coats of polyurethane later, it's the most beautiful gun in the world (at least to me). I still have it, and will never get rid of it. That is the gun (for me) that goes along with the saying "...from my cold, dead hands."

First rifle-An old Remington 5??, .22 lr with a 5 shot magazine. I still have it.

First pistol- Ruger Mark I, made in the year I was born. Marked on top of the receiver "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty." I still have it also.

First centerfire rifle- Marlin Model 336 in .30-30. I still have this one also.

First centerfire pistol- Walther PP in .32 ACP. Made in the late 60s. (Maybe 66 or 68). I still have this one too.

If you can see a pattern, I sell very few guns. 2 in fact, in 22 years (3 if you count one that my dad traded for a Trapdoor Springfield). And I wish I had only one of them back. And no it isn't the one my dad traded. I was kind of glad to get rid of that jam-o-matic CAR-15. I just wish I could've sold it during the years of the AWB, instead of just a couple years prior to it.

The following summer i got a gun i could shoot a Daisy BB gun of some sort.. and i still have two good eye's.....lol

Marlin 925 bolt action .22LR in 1977. Dad kept it locked up so I could only shoot it under his supervision. I sold it in the early 1990's during tough times to a retired federal marshal. It was dead accurate. I should have kept it! I once shot a crow out of a tree at 100 yards with that thing! My second gun was a Savage Stevens Favorite .22LR made in 1895 (#453). Grandma gave it to me claiming that it was a garage sale item she picked up. This probably took place in 1980. I found out in June of this year it was my great grandfathers childhood rabbit gun! My dad was more than a little taken aback (read upset). I guess I never mentioned it to him before. This rifle I kept but haven't fired it in more than 20 years. Much to dad's disgust I'm keeping the rifle unless he can kick my a**! I'm 43 and he's pushing 70 so he opted out of the tussle.

First shotgun - H&R break open single shot in 20ga
First handgun - Browning HP
First rifle - SMLE No.1 Mk III*

Though the second two on my list might imply it, I'm not terribly interested in commonwealth arms. :D
The Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire on the other hand...

1st pistol = S&W 39-2 9mm (still have it):what:
1st rifle = Ruger Mini-14 223 cal.
1st shotgun = Mossberg 500 12 ga.
