On other forums, many of us have been discussing the events in New Orleans and all the different disaster, terrorist situations that could arise. Many people used personal firearms to protect their lives and property from looters, murderous gangs, arsonist, ect, all with the complete absence of law enforcement for an extended period of time. After doing that for days on end, these same people then had to evacuate their homes under threat of snipers and everything else during the daytime.
Imagine you are one of those people. Imagine that your city has suffered a situation where the rule of law has completely broken down. If a hurricane can do this, so can anything else. Imagine that you have to defend your home, only to later flee from it and travel for miles on end in no law land.
What kind of weapons do you take with you? What kind of gear? How do you carry it all? Traveling on foot is about your only option. What do you do?
