I really have no idea,,,
My tax refund is always my "New Gun Money".

The dilemma is that I still have the return from last year,,,
And I really do have just about every gun I ever wanted to own.

I could always find something to spend it on,,,
But there is no driving urge for any specific fiery-arm at this moment.

I think I'll just add this money to that "New Gun Money" column in my spreadsheet,,,
That way when something truly desirable pops up,,,
The cash will be there for it.

As a co-owner, with my wife, of a small HVACR business, we won't know the outcome of the new tax laws just yet. Here's hoping for a new gun to the collection, and praying I don't have to sell any from the existing collection, to pay the bill, LOL. Anything 308 would be interesting to add.

This time of year usually ends up being fun for me. I normally get a bonus from work about March, this year's is looking really good. Stack that onto a lil tax refund and I see a nice windfall. I try to be responsible with most of it, but make sure to have fun with a little. Hoping for a 77/44 or a Garand. Both if Im really lucky.

My return must be wrong. I will have enough for a Mausingfield action and Criterion barrel. I have a gallon glass milk jug that contains the loot for a Jewel trigger. And there is ten half inch slabs of cherry that have been aging in the wood shop for seven years, hopefully they will glue up nicely.

I don't have to split it this year, again. ;)

My children will get to choose one too. A rimfire.

My birthday is in April too. I love spring!

An SP101 in 9mm maybe. Or one of the new Taurus convertible 9mm/357/38 revolvers. Waiting to see how much accuracy is affected in the 9mm first.

Hoping for an AR pistol in 9mm that takes Glock mags, or a precision 223 bolt and a few thousand RMR bullets. All of it after heart surgery, if it goes well.

Can't make up my mind. I'm looking at a Walther PK380, a Baby Rock, a Henry lever action 22, and a few other choices. It will be a while before any money shows up so I have plenty of time to dream about different options. And then I might just forego any guns and buy a nice scope or red dot to upgrade something I already have. Decisions, decisions.

Upgrades certainly make a lot of sense. That's where my money battle is torn sometimes. Make an existing gun better for me or add another gun to the collection?

Adding to the collection always feels more fun. :)

Payoff some debt , may keep a little to help pay for a new pistol. Been looking at .357 3" S&W 686 or GP100 but always change wanting another.

Getting a tax refund means you paid too much to the government. That is something I refuse to do, thus I pay in every year.

This. Ideally for me, a tax bill would be $0.00 with $0.00 return. That way I can invest MY money MY way during the year. Overpaying the government doesn't get me any interest, and even a savings account at a bank would get me at least something. Now... for those who lack the self-control to put their money in an accessible place when they need to pay... Maybe it is a good idea to get a little more taken out of the paycheck. Even better would be to learn some basic investment/saving principles (ha... or principal... pun intended) and put them to use.

Plus... guns tend to be cheaper at Black Friday... But the Ruger carbine or .300 Blackout in an SBR... Or... That Taurus 9mm/.357 seven shooter look really goods right now...

Who knows about tax returns, but I get a bonus in February. I just picked up a Canik TP9SFX with a Vortex Venom red dot, so I'll probably be investing in a lot of ammo and extra magazines. Hopefully I will also be sending my CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S1 carbine trigger pack to HBI for a trigger upgrade, aftermarket trigger shoe, mag release, mini AK right-side safety and new charging handle.

I've been considering the GP100 .44 Special, and the S&W 69 with 3" barrel. Though perhaps I could find an older DA in .44 Special somewhere. That cartridge is looking very interesting to me right now.
