Since it looks like biden may end up being the president and since he has stated that he will start treating semi-auto like full autos and we will have to buy a $200.00 tax stamp. (at least that is how I read it on his website) will most people pay it, or will many go back to revolvers? Just wondering what others are thinking I would pay the money in order to keep at least one of my pistol but he also want to required that stamp on all magazines that hold more then 10 rounds. I know there a lot of hoops for him and his gang to jump thur but one never know. Hope this post not in bad taste

I think when the NFA was passed, owners of the weapons at the time did not have to pay the $200.00 tax, just register them. If the owner's sold them, those who bought them paid the tax, plus of course if you bought a new one from a store you had to register and pay the tax.

I believe it would have to work like that. It is a transfer tax.

But what will actually happen?

My crystal ball is sitting next in line to Byron Dickens' ball .... and is in worse shape ....

Regardless of what Biden may or not be planning, he faces a hostile Congress and is unlikely to get much of anything accomplished. By all means, buy guns now - my portfolio needs all the help it can get - but I personally am not quite ready to panic just yet.

I want to try & stay positive here, but if I considet what his running mate did here to restrict gun rights as the AG well..,,,,

The Democrats will be able to do zero on gun control, even if they win both Senate runoffs in Georgia in January (which is unlikely). Joe Manchin (and possibly others) have said they won't support abolishing the filibuster. Without that, the Republicans have an effective veto over everything. There's going to be gridlock on guns, on the federal level, for the next few years.

I believe a significant amount of gun owners have reached the line in the sand regarding further erosion of our rights and are just not going to comply. I know that I may move to a state that respects the RKBA, but I will not comply and turn over firearms that protect my life and the lives of my loved ones.

Frankly I am saddened by the talk of fellow gun owners who say they will just give in and turn in their weapons and instead buy revolvers or bolt guns. The Founding Fathers must be spinning in their graves to hear such talk by Americans.

Well as long as it's not head-in-the-sand:p
