What's out there for 7.62x25 nowdays?

Only ammo that I think is vastly different than the typical FMJ stuff is a hollow point made by PPU under their Defense Line.

As for pistols, nothing has changed since the 90s.

Would 7.62x25mm make any sense in a light single-shot or semi-auto rifle, or would it be pointless? I am not as well informed about the range of existing rifle ammo as I am about pistol ammo. I know 327 Federal can do a lot more than 7.62x25mm, but it does not seem as well suited to box magazines (although it would be good in a single-shot).

What would you use this rifle FOR? It wouldn't be enough for deer, and too much for squirrels.

Yes, that is what I was asking, Vern: Is there any point to a 7.62x25mm rifle? Your answer is no, and that is exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks! :)

PS - I suppose that is why .32-20 died out a rifle cartridge, too.

No, but it was considered to be an excellent cartridge for a submachine gun because it has higher velocity than 9mm (especially in an 8-12 inch barrel), bottleneck design for feed reliability, less recoil, and decreased ammunition weight.

I have boxes of PPU, Sellier and Bellot, and Fiocchi for my M57. I've only shot the S&B so far, some videos of watched lately have shown puts the S&B as a hotter round than PPU. No idea on the Fiocchi other than it's the priciest. They are all FMJ.
