Whats the most "childish" gun you own?

I grew up watching the Addams Family & always got a kick out of Uncle Fester threatening unwanted visitors with his blunderbuss.
Took me a long while to get one put together but it’s a literal blast to shoot & you can always see a smile once the smoke clears:)

My neighbor gave me 4.5mm Mendoza. It sort of has a rolling block action, you load a .177 lead BB followed by a .22 blank. It will penetrate a 3/4 sheet of
plywood.

Believe it or not I always wanted one of these. I saw one at a Gun Show in Wheaton, IL of all places, and after thinking over the $40.00 i went back to buy it. It was .22 LR. IMG_1233.JPG Gone of course, he said he took $35.00. 1971 I think. IMG_0358.JPG Two of mine.

From what I've read the Mendoza was originally offered in 22 rimfire, until they changed the Mexican firearm laws. After that all you could get was the lead BB and blank version.

What do you use for projectile(s)?

Usually load some buck & ball or a single .53 lead ball. Recently been experimenting using a 28ga shotgun wad with lead shot & getting decent patterns out to 40 yards. There are no sights but I did manage to break a clay out of the air-once:)
it was a fun build & got to do some inlay work too

I replaced my first "gun" with an exact duplicate. The Crosman 760 Powermaster self cocking pellet gun was my constant companion from 5 to 10 years old. Lost it to a house fire. The Daisy 880 that replaced it was just never as good. They changed the innard a lot after 1974, so it was a bit hard to find, and a bit of work to get rebuilt. Worth every bit, even with the worst trigger pull imaginable. Probably why bad triggers don't bother me much.

I had forgotten this one. I too had one of these. Seems like it shot .177 pellet and also BB's if you preferred?
