What's the most fun gun you have ever fired

M-68 105mm main gun out of an M60A3 tank. Fun doesn't even begin to describe it. You feel invincible. Same gun in the first M1s, (before the upgrade to the 120mm)

I always liked destroying things with the 165mm main gun on the M728 CEV (combat engineer vehicle). The 165mm HEP rounds will mess up a lot of stuff. The M728 CEV was nothing but a M60 with a short 165mm main gun, bull dozer blade, and an A frame for heavy lifting.

THIS. I have bragging rights to having fired the largest rifle in the world, an M67 90mm recoilless rifle. it was very fun to hit a tank at 600-meters.

The combat engineer battalion I was assigned to from Jan 92 till Dec 94 still had recoilless rifles in our arms rooms. We rarely got to shoot them though.

Most fun shot was a 105mm main gun on my M60 main battle tank, rocked that 52 ton tank and a 30 foot fire ball. Why? I mean 105 mm!
Most fun I own is a toss up. My Winchester Model 94AE in 30-30 Winchester and my Taurus Model 627 Tracker in 357 Magnum 6 1/2 inch barrel. Why? When my mom married my step dad he had a S&W 357 Magnum with a 6 inch barrel. We would go to his moms farm and shoot it and I loved it. My Taurus is just as much fun.

1. I'm likely one of the few here who has shot a Maxim 08/15 8mm Zeppelin Machine Gun since only a few exist. Even more fun, the owner asked me if I wanted to take it off the tripod and shoot it from the hip Rambo style, what could I say?
Wish I had pictures but we were shooting guns, not photos for Instagram. How often do you get to shoot a piece of history? Pic below is Ian M from Forgotten Weapons I think with the same gun I shot?

2. Same shoot, I was lucky to shoot an original MP-40 machine gun. It was notable because of it's super slow cyclic rate that made it easy to actually hit targets.

3. Runner up, same shoot, Vintage M1919 at some targets at 300 yards.

4. My most fun to shoot gun I own? Probably my new Smith & Wesson M&P 12 Bullpup shotgun. 23 Mini Shells and a 27.8" OAL? It's a sweet shotgun.

This gun is heavier than I thought, easy to shoot and easy to keep muzzle down with a little practice. Mine had stick magazine, but I think it may have fit drum or stick- doesn’t take long to empty that stick mag on full auto!

USAS-12 Daewoo 12ga with the 20 shot drum. Daewoo sold these in the 90's to Israeli forces and various civilian retailers around the world. 20 shots of 00 buck with the 12 pellet load was something else for shooting up bottles and old wooden pallets

After shooting that boat anchor, I immediately saw why WW II GI's hated lugging that beast in combat and really liked the M3 Grease Gun, even though it wasn't built nearly as well. Imagine parachuting into combat with the Thompson, full load of mags, plus all of your normal gear. Brutal.

Probably my glock 19 is the most fun I have shooting. It's light and has high capacity to just raise hell on plates, AR's being a close second for me. I had a classmate in electrical school who was a CIII dealer and he had about a half a mil in pre 86' machine guns and told me I could come by sometime and sample some of the goods, if he hadn't moved before I was able to take him up on that I have a feeling my answers wouldn't have been so vanilla bland as "Glock 19 and AR".

I did fire a Browning 1919 once when I was a young kid, my uncle had a friend who bought demil'd/destroyed recievers and kits to make functional 1919's and I was lucky enough to stop by with my uncle when he was out there test firing a newly completed 30-06 1919. That was alot of fun too.... but after about 10 pulls it jammed up and the party was over, but before I got on it he unleased a torrent of M2 '06 that sent dirt flying everywhere in his pit.....that was a sight to behold and I was about 10, no ear pro.

A guy I knew had an American 180 that he had put a silencer on. All legal, he made silencers for certain govt agencies. We took an old adding machine and set it against a dirt bank and blasted away with the little machine gun. Keys and metal junk flying everywhere, and the gun sounded like a BB gun on full auto.

I went to a local range on "full auto day" a few years back. Local NFA gun owners lended their personal weapons to any yahoo willing to pay $30 to get in then outrageous prices for range ammo (tulammo brand) to fire various MPs, SMGs, full auto rifles and even an M60. I spent a lot of money fired many things and my all time favorite weapon from that day forward was a good old fashioned full stock MP5. I bet I could have wrote my name with that thing if I could have afforded to pay for more of that marked up junk ammo, they said you shoot our guns you shoot our ammo and I thought these aren't your guns your borrowing them and running corrosive crap in them. I have no military or Leo experience and it was my first time going full auto but that thing was as easy to use as a super soaker and more fun than I've ever had shooting center fire smokeless

Nothing fancy like you guys, but my son and I have have had the most fun plinking in the back yard with a .22lr. Namely the Ruger Wrangler we got a while back. My second choice is a tossup. Either my Ruger LCP or my Springfield xds mod.2 .45. Or my tactical 12ga. i love them all lol

Of the ones I own, that is a hard choice. 22s are always fun, silencers are fun, M1s are fun, accurate guns are fun, so many choices.

Most fun gun I've fired, but don't actually own, would be the Kel-Tec KSG 12 Guage pump shotgun. I got it as a range rental because I was considering one for home defense at the time (ultimately went with an AR-15). Quickly blasting 12 rounds of 12 Guage, with that ever-so-satisfying 'chu-chink' of the pump between shots, was a thrill! And all that delicious gun smoke filling up the indoor shooting lane was neat as well, it looked like I was shooting black powder by the time that gun was empty. Eh, I'm sure that would get old quickly if I actually owned one though...


My favorite gun that I do own is my S&W Model 29-2 with 6.5" barrel. It's fun to shoot, and fun to just look at!

Any time I have shot an MP5 or clone I have very much enjoyed it. At a "machine gun shoot" a few years ago I paid to shoot an auto MP5 and a Thompson. Tommy gun was awesome, but I still get a smile from shooting that MP5. So I'm going with an MP5, either full or semi auto.

My MFG (most fun gun) is a second hand Ruger MKII stainless steel 22 LR that has a Millet SP-1 red dot sight mounted to it . I had stopped shooting handguns because of eyesight problems , detached retina's , lens of eyes removed , 5 eye surgeries ... just cold no longer see the rear , front and target to shoot ... and I loved shooting .
It was lying on a dealers table at a gun show ... 25 years ago ...maybe more ... Dealer said you ever shoot a red dot (small 1" tube type not compact like today) I say No ... he turns it on and say's ...put the dot on what you want to hit ...squeeze trigger ...that's all there is ... And my God was he right ...it was the answer to my prayers ... I could see the target and see the dot ... Thank You Lord for answering my prayer .
Later at the range I discovered this pistol was magical ... the trigger pull was soooooo sweeeeet .
Turns out Clark Custom Guns had done the custom red dot mounting and a target trigger job on it ...
I don't know what else they did but it is super accurate and hitting a target is so easy ...it is magical .
I was truely in Heaven to get this gun and red dot sight ... just typing this puts a big smile on my face , shooting it puts a song in your heart ... I'm going to ask the Good Lord if maybe I can take it with me !
