I am 57 and like my 1911's though a bit on the heavy side.
I also like the 640 S&W in a 9R Bianchi which is no longer made.
Sometimes a Glock finds its way into my belt.
I think the reason so many carry Glock's is they work 100% of the time and you don't have to worry about the looks. They never were a fancy gun. Also the options with the grip extenders really make it multi-purpose. A G27 with a G19 mag and sleeve on it can bring things up a notch if need be.
So depending on where i am going and the environment , you could find me with several choices.
A walk in the woods is different than a trip to the store. So is a ride on a Harley different from a Friday fish fry.

Seasoned Citizen

I'm 71 and normally carry a Glock 30SF or my Kimber Compact Stainless (4") in a OWB holster. If going "light" I've got a S&W 642 in my right front pocket in an Uncle Mikes holster.

I'm 50+ and carry a Beretta 92FS on the job. When I'm away from work I find myself going back to my roots more often. I usually carry a 4" Colt Python, or a 4" S&W 10-8, 28-2, 686-1 or a 3" S&W 65-3. Occassionally I will carry my personal Beretta 92F, Sig SP2340, or Colt Gov't Model Series 70 MK IV.

I read this again for a laugh. Being 66 most men my age were drafted and not carrying something wasn't an option. We aren't over the hill as far as personal defense goes, we carry the same weapons you younger folks do only we have had a few more years to practice if we were interested in firearms. I grew up in the hills of KY and can't remember not shooting and hunting. We sometimes improve with maturity and if you mess with a young man he can ruin your day. Mess with an old man he may ruin your life.

Im 31 and a fair sized so I tend to carry a Sig 226 in 40 or 357 Sig. I also carry several others but not all at once. I cant vote cuz I dont see which catagory I fall into. Maybe revolvers since my Taurus 651 is always in my pocket nomatter what else I have on my belt.

I'm 24 and I usually carry a USPc or J-Frame if the USPc doesnt fit.

Though, I should note that I will be hopefully switching to a 1911 soon.

Tough to pick one. I've carried a Colt government model, an M&P, and a USP. And I'm in the market for a revolver in .357. I would carry my G20 and Beretta, too, but I have no holsters yet. I like'm all. I've always had a traditionalist streak, but that has a practical limit. We'd all be carrying swords or clubs or SAA's if at some point the inevitable resistance to advancing techology didn't finally sit down and shut up. I just want to carry somthing quality, comfortable, and powerful. Concealability is not that important to me most of the time. Under a shirt and IWB is generally enough for me no matter what gun it is.

I'm going to be 41 next month.

Im 29 and usually carry a XD 9mm. I've shot it more than any other weapon I own and feel confident I could hit my target in a SD situation.

During the summer however I live in shorts and a tanktop and I find it easier to conceal my S&W .38spl.

Looks like polymers are most carried by all age groups. I'll have to use that little factoid sometime.

25 and my primary is a full sized 1911. I'll carry a 6" .357 when I can keep it covered and a .22 auto when the 1911's hard to hide.

I am 51 and switch back and forth between a Bersa Thunder .380 and a Kel-Tec P-32 in .32acp. I make my choice depending on the situation and a type of clothes I am wearing that day.

Springfield Armory "GI-45", and I fit the the OBFG group...
