Whats your caliber footprint?

I have an Austrian made, Steyr-Mannilicher 8x56R "straight pull" bolt rifle with ammo that carries the NAZI eagle on the headstamp! It's a VERY potent round...even though the stuff was loaded in 1938!
My calibers are quite limited simply because over the years I've become "militarized" like so many and tend to collect military caliber guns.
So I have 5.56, 7.62, .30'06, 7.62x54R, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, 8x56R, .460 S&W, .500 S&W, 9mm, .45ACP, 10mm, .380ACP, .32 ACP, .22 LR (bazillions), 7.62 Nagant, .38spl, .44spl....

Currently owned

Rifles

22 LR
223 Rem
7,62x39
30-30 Win
308 Win
7,62x54R
30-06
338 Win Mag

Handguns

22 LR
9mm Parabellum
40 S&W
10mm Auto
44 Mag

Shotguns

12 Ga.

New chamberings planned to be soon acquired (funds already allocated, just looking for the right deal)

Rifles

7mm Rem Mag
A 300 Mag (either Win Mag or Weatherby)
338-378 Weatherby
A 375 H&H or 378 Weatherby
An over .400 African caliber (either 416 Rem Mag, 458 Lott or 460 Weatherby)
45-70

Handguns

Possibly a 357 Mag
460 S&W or 500 S&W

Fewer calibers, more ammo

30 carbine
45 ACP
357/38

It's hard to believe isn't it?

It makes reloading and stacking ammo to the ceiling much easier.

.22 pellet rifle
.22 WMR (will probably sell due to costly ammo)
.223 Rem/5.56NATO
.30-06 Sprg

That's all the rifle calibers I'll ever need around here. I do want a .458 SOCOM upper though... and maybe a .300 Blackout

Pistol... just a 9mm.

A better question...

Actually, a better question might be: "Do you own more than one rifle in any one caliber and if so, why?" .22s don't count, of course. I think I've currently got:
22LR (4)
.218 Bee (1)
.223 (x2)
.257 Roberts (1)
.270 Win (2)
7x57R (1)
.30 Car (1)
.30 US [30-40 Krag] (1)
.300 Win Mag (1)
Excuses: The .223s are AR actions, and I have two because I got a deal on LMT premium lowers so cheap that the shipping, background check and dealer transfer fee were almost as much as one lower. Like Janet Napolitano said about her ammunition buys, "It was on SALE!"
I have my father's Remington 721 in .270 Win, and it would be hard to find a better rifle in that caliber, but a local sporting goods chain store was closing and had a Browning BLR takedown in the same caliber for less than half the current MSRP. It just looked so lonely there in the rack, like that last puppy in the litter that nobody wanted, and it followed me home.
Then there are the pistols:
5mm Rem
.32 ACP
.22/.22 WRM
.32 S&W
9mm Para
.38/357
.40 S&W
.44 Rem Mag
.442 Webley
.45ACP
.45 LC
...and the shotguns:
20 ga.
16 ga.
12 ga.
11 ga.
10 ga.
The last two are retired, the 10 gauge because of age and wear and the 11 gauge because I don't even know anyone who's actually seen an 11 gauge cartridge, so they shouldn't really count. And the 16 gauge is my wife's and shouldn't be held against me, along with the 7x57R, which is the third barrel on that odd beast.
