I'll just say it's a lot. Too many in fact. However, I *have* in the last 7 years, in an attempt at simplification, managed to eliminate these calibers from the herd:

-.30-30 Win
-.32 acp
-.380 acp
-7mm Rem Mag
-.40 S&W
-.44 magnum
-.300 Win Mag
-.30 Carbine
-.308 Win
-10mm auto (have sold 3 guns in this caliber)
-.35 Whelen

But I added a few to offset those in the last few years (.454 Casull, 9.3x62mm, maybe others).

Times are simpler but not simple enough. Next calibers to eliminate are 25.-'06 Rem, and .22 cal airgun shotshell. I'm also probably going to eliminate .270 Win, as hard as that will be to do, UNLESS the high quality, long range .277 bullets from Berger and others are actually forthcoming soon.

Still gonna add a few though in the next few years:
-.308 Win (once again)
-6.5-.284 Norma
-(probably) 6.5 Grendel
-(possibly) .380 acp (again)
-(possiby) .22lr smoothbore
-possibly others (maybe 9x23 Win, .22-250, .30-30 Win again and 10mm auto again)

I believe the original intent of this thread was for RIFLES.

I have the following:
.22 LR (assorted, 6 total)
.223 (Ruger Mini-14, NRA edition)
.243 (Savage Youth bolt)
.270 (Winchester Model 70 Featherweight, bought a couple years ago on clearance at Bass Pro for $399)
.30-30 (336) my brother bought in 1981, mine to use whenever I want. may as well own it.
.30-06 (Marlin XL-7)
.357 (Marlin 1894C, love this one)
9mm (Hi-Point carbine, shoots everything, a farting around gun)
.50 muzzleloader (a CVA firebolt, not a great gun but good enough for about 12 whitetails so far).

.22 LR. Winchester 9422XTR circa 1979 or so. After shootin' this baby, nothing else compares. Actually, I'm in a 1 gun lifestyle and need something that has versatility, accuracy and SHTF value. The .22 works for me...
