Whats your dream carry gun?

An Uzi-micro with supressor strapped to a shoulder rig under a fine black-pinstripe three-piece suit... hey, it's a dream isn't it? :D

hmmm two H&K P2000s, both in shoulder straps and in .40 or .357.... a perfect way to put the ambi-slide releases to use:D

but i would be happy carrying a few different guns.. SIG P239 SAS, P2000/P2000SK, XD-SC, micro 1911 like the kimber ultra CDP, maybe even the new SA EMP 40.... ill carry anything as long as it is a huge performer and feels good in my hand.

FN Five Seven.

A 20 round box magazine pistol with SS190 anti-armor rounds is exactly what you need when crazy guys with .308 rifles jump up from behind the Food Court sign. :D

Something along the lines of a Colt CCO, Officer's frame, commander length slide, all steel, dark finish, good sites, maybe a laser, and nice grips. Ah, when I'm not so broke.....like in 20 years or so.

S&W 340PD loaded with .38 Specials and an Ed Brown Kobra Carry. I have to admit that I carry the S&W 85% of the time. It's so small and concealable that I have no excuse not to carry it.

Almost anything that will fit

I have tried several IWB carry options. They all end up looking like a big wart is growing out of my side, as it appears I am too skinny for such a carry option. OWB is a little better but still "prints" too much. Small of the back looks too uncomfortable (for sitting) and the draw too unpredictable (lots-o-practice would be necessary). So, baggy pants and a J-frame Airlight in a front pocket.

Love My Glock G29 10mm - 10rd+1 mag with pinkygrip and G20 15rd mag with a&g grip filler as backup. If 26 hot rounds wont do it, maybe it will at least get me to my .308!

Good news, they already make my dream gun! Now if only they made a 13rd non extended mag for it (like a wide G23 mag)!

I also like the North American Arms .22LR because...I can take it anywhere as its 3.75" by 2.5" by 1", stainless steel, 1/2 lb loaded, carries 5 rounds, and is a reliable revolver...now you cant beat that! They also have the 22short and 22mag versions to suit all tastes! This is when I'm in a situation where the G29 isnt appropriate (beach, jogging, etc).

When I lived where I could carry it was a G30. If I could have my dream carry gun it would have to be an bobtailed Kimber custom carry II with a melt job. I would have it black chromed which IMO is a beautiful finish, with ball milled dark wood grips, and a dimpled front strap, and slide pull.

well, if im dreamin......

howabout a RPD SA belt fed from my backpack or breifcase, that has a shortened stock and barrel and its reproduced from a composite alloy to make it even lighter and smaller! with a internal pullout stock so when i need a shoulder to help ;), i prolly wouldnt feel undergunned too often. Did I mention that it would be small and light enough to carry in shoulder holster?

ok ok, nuff bout dreamland....
i would be happy with a kimber pro carry II .45
for now.... s-w 340 pd 357.

HK P7M7 with an alloy or polymer frame, 18-20 oz, 7+1 45 acp. Less than $2000. I'll take two.

I'll second the p7m7, or even a compact p9 45 both of these never went past proto type:mad:

I'm dreaming of a scaled down carbon fiber/titanium Browning HighPower in .45ACP. Integral nuclear powered laser and nitesites (so I don't have to worry about batteries) with AAAAA figured claro walnut checkered grips. 16 oz at most and about 7/8 inches thick- Hey- it's MY dream:neener:

My Kahr P9 get's most of the carrying duties. I have a Glock 23, 27 and 29. I also have a Kahr PM9 and P45 along with a bunch of other options. The P9 is thin, decent # of rds. (8) and light. It's easy to dress around (you don't have to) and it's accurate. Great gun. If I'm going to carry anything larger it's usually my Glock 23 I go to.

Of things that exist the PM9 I already have works fine (plastic and 100% reliable from day one with a sizeable amount of mostly +P practice, even though some people will say this is impossible for plastic Kahrs).

Would be nice if it was SA/DA like the Taurus has as I would prefer a lighter pull and the trigger is covered by the holster so ND/AD not an issue if I'm not a moron.

Would be ideal if it was a single stack .45ACP as above - I'd deal with a slightly longer grip and a touch more width to get my preferred caliber 5+1 would be OK even.

So in other words a lot smaller Taurus 24/7 or a PM45 would be the dream.

Dream carry guns? They're all a reality:

1. S&W j-frame. Current version is the 342PD (.32 mag version of the 37). You can carry this gun in your front pocket un-noticed by you and most observers.
2. SIG p232 w/night sights. Marginal caliber but an otherwise perfect gun. Just oozes quality. Almost as concealable as the j-frame, and carries 8 rounds. Easy gun to carry in summer shorts or cargo pants, and extra loaded magazines are very light.
3. Glock 19. 15+1 rounds of 147gr Hyrda-shocks in a handy package. Very accurate and reliable. Easily carried in most situations, and carries enough firepower to ward off a street gang without re-loading.

I just happen to own all three guns. I have sold almost every other handgun I've owned, but I never can sell these three. They do perfectly what they were designed to do. I highly recommend all three.
