What's Your Favorite 9mm Pistol to Shoot?

I am impressed with the Hi Powers in the previous post, As for me; my fav used to be my Hi Power Practical and although I still enjoy shooting it I have retired it and it rests comfortably in the safe, This is a tough question as I do enjoy shooting many weapons but after thinking about it and figuring out what I shoot most often it is the H&K P30 w/LEM trigger and short reset done by Bill Springfield, It shoots all of my reloads w/o any issues and fits like a glove.

My Sig M11-A1 is my favorite. However, as odd as this might sound to some folks, I really do like shooting my Glock 19 - it's simple, reliable, accurate, and I'm pretty darned good with it if I say so myself.;)
308N…please don’t take this the wrong way…but I say things like this too…perhaps too often, so this is an internal point for me as well…

Why is it we sometimes feel obligated to apologize or somehow feel “odd” for liking Glocks?

Just because the “only steel guns” crowd likes to try and “cancel” us, there is no reason to let them. Nothing wrong or odd about enjoying shooting Glocks

I don't know! It's strange, isn't it?:D
I guess with me it might be because I read all of the distain for Glocks on internet gun forums before I actually tried one for myself. BTW, that first Glock just happens to be my Glock 44 (same size and shape as my Glock 19 Gen 5) and I fell in love with it. I went right out and bought my Glock 19 Gen 5 to match, and that's what I carry now.:)

No, not sounding odd at all.

As I mentioned in post #22, Glocks are assembled using modular components and some assemblies shoot better than others out of the box. When I asked to dry fire multiple Glocks while watching the front site, LGS staff (Who observed my sub 2" 25 yard groups with different pistols) asked what I was looking for. I told him I was watching how much the front sight jumped/moved when the striker was released. He was surprised to find the amount of difference pistol to pistol.

I told him accuracy or size of group or scatter pattern depends on final muzzle movement before bullet exits the barrel and I attribute this to how much the front sight moves as we finalize our trigger pull as discussed on this thread - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/trigger-control.834737/page-2#post-11245640

The same range staff was present when this shot group was witnessed by another THR member -

My favorite is either of my BHPs...

mine I really liked and totally regret letting slip away was a Star Modelo B. It sure was a nice pistol.

Probably my S&W 908; 3rd. Gen. 10947465_01_s_w_908_640.jpg

Really like the slender ergos, yet very solid, rugged feel. DA/SA with really smooth DA pull. Can you see the 'bobbed' hammer?

A buddy I very seldom see, on the other side of town (on the MS 'frontier' :D), has a select-fire MP-5. Does that also count?

Favorite 9mm ... A 1911 based. Probably my Dan Wesson Vigil. But I have 4 1911's in 9mm

Also have some other 9mm, Sig Sauer (5), Ruger, Springfield Armory and Glock guns. Then a 9mm AR

I think it’s my Glock 34. Bone stock other than the sights, it shot well for me for about 12 years as a daily duty-SRT gun.

Stay safe.

There is a short list of favorite 9mm pistols that I own but this month's favorite is the Nowlin Challenger, with the Sphinx AT2000S a close runner up. Next range day a SIG P49 will be shot side-by-side to the Sphinx and then, it is also time to get the old Parabellum P.08 out again.
