My favorite is a far cry from a fancy piece. My Dad gave it to me ,(that helps a bunch), I've hunted with it 40 years. Its a Savage mod. 24, .22/410 over and under. I'm 50 now and I'd rather hunt rabbits with it that any gun I own. I've killed more cans with it than I could haul off in my F-150, too.
Mark.

BAR-D.

...if Glock would just make a single-stack 10mm, it would probably be #2.

Well, of non-'my guns' two come to mind. A very low production Ruger Blackhawk in 44 Special. Not Magnum, a Special. And it's a Blackhawk, not a Super Blackhawk. Father in Law inheireted it from his brother when he passed on and wrote to Ruger asking about it's origins. At first, Ruger claimed that they never made one. With a little more information, they claimed that they did indeed build a few. This one was originally delivered to a Sheriff somewhere in Texas, in El Paso I believe. Great gun. Original finish, very worn but not abused at all. Lots of history, not sure if that's good or bad. His brother was in a lot of trouble with the law in various states in the Southwest. Funny thing is, I've never even shot it - it just seems that that would almost take away some of the mystique.

Second one is also property of the Father in Law and also a Ruger - No 1 Varmint in 22-250 with the stainless metal and dark gray laminated stock. Beautiful gun. Older V16 Weaver scope. Accurate as heck and excellent trigger.

Of my guns, I like my 700PSS and my Winchester 70 Coyote largely because if the scope on it. I've put a lot of rounds through my old Dan Wesson 22 and I'm currently infatuated with my Ishapore Enfield 2A but I guess my favorite is my Colt 1991A1 customized (WWII-ized, I call it) by Ned Christiansen.

My favorite gun that I own would be my Kimber series 1 Compact Stainless.

My favorite gun of all would be the M2HB Browning .50 cal Heavy Machine Gun. It is just such a complete rush to fire. We're talking mahogany here people.

MarineTech

Did you ever fire a quad-fifty? It's as much fun as the old anti-aircraft pom-poms on shipboard.:D

I don't know, it would have to be between either my AR or my Remington 700.

You decide for me pick your favorite out of the two, and I will go along with it.;)

Lots I like, but ....

Rem 870 Express Magnum, 12 gauge, 21" bbl double bead vent ribbed Turkey

Has the screw-ins for everything doves/quail - to turkeys - to deer/elk & beyond. 3 shots with plug to extension for 8+

Won't argue the configuration, but the 12 pump has to be the most versatile thing out there.

labgrade

Good pick- I have one in LH configuration, and have bought several used barrels for it in various configurations- plus, you can shoot mag or 2-3/4 inch ammo. The single best source for used shotgun barrels I have found are the gun shops in Minnesota- each one has at least a dozen in various configurations for various shotguns.

Uncle Ethan. Never had the chance. They were phased out well before I joined the Marines. (89) Had the opportunity to sit in one though when I visited an old Marine buddy that lives in Minnesota. He's a member of a local military vehicle historical society. In their museum, they've got a WW2 M17 AA Halftrack with a quad fifty. Got to sit in the cupola surrounded by those 4 .50s. Just spent 10 minutes with a big sloppy grin on my face thinking what it must be like.

Right now my favorite is my Springfield Armory 1911A1 Mil-Spec, box stock except for aged ivory stocks. Pretty darn cool (if I say so myself). More accurate than I am and not 1 malfunction in over 1,000 rounds. The one I carry most is my S&W 642 Centennial (it just carries so easily in my front pants pocket w/ Uncle Mike's pocket holster).

Please don't let my other guns hear about this post. ;)

My Favorite gun...is one of my cheapest!

It used to be the No.4 Mk1 Lee Enfield..but now I seem to like my early "edition" SMLE repleat with windage adjustable rear sight. (It's missing the Volley Sights though..am going to have to rectify that and get a Pattern 1907 Sword Bayonet (with a hook quillion)).

Its odd..because I like the SMLE over M1A, M1 Garand, FAL, AR and AK in my collection.

The M1A does run a close second but it just doesn't quite have the same sense of history and confidence inspiring track record of reliability that an SMLE has.

Weird, eh?

Oh well..when in danger or in doubt..Remember Rule .303!

My S&W model 19 with 4 inch pipe. Pinned and recessed. Manufactured in 1964. I don't shoot it very much anymore but it is pure sweetness to handle and shoot.
