I've been looking at the glock 30 but the 36 looks like it may be a little easier to conceal. I also hear good things about the cw .45. What about the ruger p345 anybody have one and like it? All responses are appreciated.

HK USP .45 Compact is my favorite. It's a little big for summer carry, but it's been my winter carry pistol for the last 7 years.

As a main gun id go with a Kahr CW45, And a PM45 if i wanted to try and stuff it in a pocket but mainly as a bug for me.

A low cost option is the Taurus PT145 and its alot of gun for the money and darn reliable and proven over the years.

To me any IWB gun better be thin as my waistline isn't getting smaller.
For now my IWB main gun which is always a .45 is an RIA CS 1911 3.5" Officers i picked up for $425 and tax and its been great.
In no way is it lite, But it conceals as easy as any polymer gun and you don't feel weight much when its on a good belt.

My only shooting experience in a polymer .45 is the Glock 36. So far, I still really like it for what it is and I shoot it well.

It is similar in size to a 3" barrel 1911, like a Colt New Agent, but is the G36 is cheaper and you don't worry so much about dinging it up.

I chose mine, because I liked the relative thinness compared to the G30. That was more important for me than having more than 6+1 capacity.

just got an opportunity to check out the FNH fnp series...they are great for south paws like myself. the real advantage in my opinion over all the other polymer guns is the fully serviceable frame rails..they are pinned in instead of molded in so they can be replaced if damaged or worn, beats having to replace the frame or the entire gun. they are DA/SA and though the double action is heavy, the single action is very crisp and you get either a 14 or 15 round mag in .45 acp too !

I've handled most of the ones on the market (SHOT Show) and put rounds through a bunch during classes.

If I wasn't paying, I'd get the H&K HK45c...which is so much nicer than the USP, it is like a large P2000

I think the S&W M&P45c is a great size for CCW and I think the ergos are superior to any other polymer .45ACP on the market...the recoil and muzzle flip are certainly less

For ultimate concealment, it would be pretty hard to beat the thinness of the Kahr 45

I had the 21. Harder to conceal given the bulk. I traded for a 30. I have been happy with it, ever since. Easily concealable with a Shielded Holster.

The 36 is fine, too, but I don't own one.

My favorite to shoot or to carry? They're definitely two different pistols.

My favorite to shoot is the FNP-45 Tactical, it's amazingly accurate and easy to get comfortable with (for me, anyway). It's rather large and heavy to carry though, so I carry a Taurus 24/7 Pro DS Compact in .45. 10 rounds of .45 in a small (though slightly thick) package, inexpensive but tough and reliable (so far).

XD Tactical! i've got it in the night stand now and it's there to stay. Great fun on the range too.

I have a Kahr CW45. It is light, concealable, accurate and priced right.
